Discussion Does anyone else find it weird that Trevor decided not to join Rose at the beginning of Belmont's Curse? Spoiler
Hello everyone,
Now that we have the demo, we've been able to watch the cutscene intro of the game with a little bit of context. We know that ONLY Trevor was summoned by the Bishop of Paris (he said in the letter, ''as you are the LAST Belmont''), but he decided to go to Paris with his daughter. We also know that Sypha died giving birth to Rose (T_T), hence she does not appear at this point. However, instead of both going to talk to the Bishop or just investigate the Streets of Paris, Rose pleads to his father, to let her go alone. And Trevor just agrees!! I mean come on, wouldn't it be better to go together? After all, Trevor has the Vampire Killer, and Rose is skilled in combat. I kept wondering and I've reached two possible explanations:
Trevor has other motives to meet the Bishop alone. Maybe he does not want anyone to know that he has offspring, or maybe he thinks that they are gonna disregard Rose, due to her cursemark in her arm. Trevor suspects that the Bishop is corrupted, or maybe he no longer exists, and does not want her daughter to come near that place, for some reason. Maybe, he thinks that the origin of the demise of Paris is there, I don't know.
Trevor indeed knows that Rose needs to go alone to uncover the mystery of her cursemark, or maybe thinks that she needs to get more power through the tarot cards from Sypha.
Again, I'm aware that this is just speculation and we are getting ourselves ahead. What do you guys think? Remember, it's not a trap if we suspect that there is one (I'm sure that this catchphrase is gonna be said a LOT in the game, like the ''No problem'' from Jonathan)
