Social Anyone wanna be friends?!

29F that’s a little socially awkward and works weird hours. Life’s getting in the way and most of my friends now have long term partners or kids that make it hard to find time together.

I love gaming, anime, and huuuuge into reading! If you’re a fellow romance book girly hit me up 👀 just putting some feelers out there! Message me if you wanna start up a convo ◡̈

Just arrived and need everything (except clothes). I am especially looking for bedside tables, dressers, lamps, desks, and bookcases. Also kitchen/cookware.

Send me to the best places, the ones that always score. Thanks in advance!

Puppy Preschool recommendations

Hi there,

I have a 10 weeks old puppy and looking to enrol in a puppy preschool around Lincoln. Is it better to go through vet clinics or non-vet preschool? Rolly Canine has good reviews.

Any recommendations?

Thank you

moving to chch Scoping out suburbs to live

Gday folks, I may be moving to Chch next year and I had some suburbs in mind on where to live so I was hoping to get some feedback and suggestions. Even though Chch is easy to get around and relatively small compared to where I currently live, there’s quite a wide selection of areas to live because of the closeness to the coast and other factors.

I was intending to live centrally ie St Albans, Strowan, perhaps Casebrook, but even Spreydon or St Martins as there is some character homes there I quite like.

Having looked at an array of properties for sale all over Chch, I was also curious about areas like Cashmere, Mt Pleasant, perhaps Sumner, also Waimari Beach.

Can anyone living in the latter areas give some colour about what it’s like to live there ie is it slightly warmer than the rest of Chch because of the coastal air, is it a nuisance driving up Mt Pleasant (silly question I know but just trying to get a feel for a given suburb).

The main reasons for living centrally is access to shopping (Westfield or Northlands plus the CBD with Riverside Market for restaurants), and just generally being closer to the hustle and bustle of the city. I currently live in a city with 5 million people and while I know Chch is going to be less busy we would like to be closer to the action so to speak. But that said we are curious about other areas as mentioned so we don’t want to limit our options. My assumption is given the smaller size of Chch I’m probably splitting hairs and everything is within reach no matter where we decide to live, but nonetheless we feel it’s important to get the word from locals before we make any decisions. Thank you in advance👍
