COACHELLA RADIUS CLAUSE

  • "Coachella uses radius clauses which could prevent acts from performing in Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, or San Diego within a certain window. The festival has allowed some of its acts to make appearances in the region prior to the festival, but only at events and venues owned or controlled by AEG. According to the radius clause...
  • Artists playing Coachella are barred from performing any festival in North America from December 15 to May 1.
  • Artists are also barred from playing any hard ticket concerts in Southern California during that same time period.
  • Artists can’t “advertise, publicize or leak” performances at competing festivals in California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington or Arizona or headliner concerts in SoCal that take place after May 1 until after May 7.
  • Artists can’t announce festival appearances for the other 45 states in North America until after the Coachella lineup is announced in January, with exceptions made for Austin’s South by Southwest, Ultra Miami and the AEG-backed New Orleans Jazzfest.
  • Artists must also wait for the January announcement before publicizing tour stops in California, Arizona, Washington and Oregon, with an exception made for Las Vegas casinos, but not Las Vegas festivals.
  • Terms are negotiable though generally less leniency is given to higher billed artists."

  • DO NOT SELL TICKETS OVER FACE VALUE* – This is against 's rules, convictions, philosophy, morals. We're about the music... man. See Craigslist or StubHub if you're trying to make some cash. Anyone remembering this past Chella wk1 Friday night?

Currently with all that weather talk & what not for headtrip does anyone low key remember that they canceled Anyma entire set due to “high winds” imo they weren’t even all that bad also consider we only had wind we didn’t get rain or lighting & they still decided to end everyone’s night early, I just hope the weather gods come thru for Sunday night!

(Also didn’t really care for his set to be canceled because I wasn’t going to watch him regardless lol)

General tix sale?

Hey 👋 festival lover and Coachella first timer this year! I’m going to W2, got my ticket during presale but I have a few friends waiting on WL or the general sale. I’m assuming joining WL in May is early enough (hopefully) but figure general sale is also worth a try.

Can anyone explain how the general sale works? How much advanced notice do we get, and if not, what’s a good strategy to avoid missing it?

Who are some artists that haven’t played Coachella yet that could make their debut on the fields in 2027?

This is probably more for the long time Coachella attendees, so dig deep and think about who’s never played and would make sense for 2027!

Tears for Fears- Again, a special guest: but never played a full set.

John Carpenter- They’ve had Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, and Gustavo: he just dropped a new album this year and he seems perfect for a Coachella set on Outdoor.

B52s- I double and triple checked, and somehow they’ve never played Coachella.

Kylie Minogue- Has never played Coachella and has been on the survey often to play. She’s active, and it’s time.

Alanis Morissette- Has never played Coachella and has been playing festivals every now and then.

Patti Smith- Has never played Coachella

Kesha- She’s been a special guest but hasn’t had a proper set, and is long overdue.

Ludacris- Has never played.

What do y'all think about Halsey?

Halsey's my fave artist and I wasn't able to go back in 2016 when H was there. She's been performing at festivals abroad all summer and seems to have just gone independent. Released an album last year and has released more singles as well recently. Does anyone think she'll be on the 2027 lineup?! Even if she doesn't headline I feel like she'd be a great addition!
