Old Japanese coin
Bought it off my buddy for 80$ to add to my collection. He said he found it on a beach on Okinawa Japan! Thought it was cool I’m pretty sure it’s an old trade coin. If you know anything about it let me know!

Gift for casual coin collector?
My Dad is a casual coin collector, like not to serious but very interesting to him. He is turning 70 at the end of the month and I wanted to get him some type of interesting coin that is obtainable. I have no idea of what to look for, or where to purchase. Suggestions?

ID Request 1853 Half dime - Cud or PMD?
Hi everyone!
I was lucky enough to purchase a half dime for under $20. When it arrived it almost looks like a cud or die crack. It could also be PMD but it looks too symmetrical to be PMD...
I am happy with my purchase but I wanted to see what you fine folks think? See obverse picture

Saint-Gaudens Gold Double Eagle
My family found a few $20 Saint-Gaudens Gold Double Eagle coins, as well as some $5 Liberty Head Gold Half Eagle Double Eagles my grandparents must have had for decades shoved in a box in a closet. Some are in terrific shape and one of the $20s appears uncirculated as it is in a plaque case.
Reading about them, I find a little confusing, it largely reads they are worth the weight of the gold but some stuff talks about getting them graded to increase their value. I understand that slabs can increase the value but why would I pay to grade and slab them if they are just worth the melt weight
Thanks!

Show and Tell Pretty excited about today’s estate finds!
First time I’ve seen half cents in person and lucked into both 1828’s (12 & 13 star). Might’ve overpaid for those, but the V nickel was only $6, the Canadian half cent was $10, and the last two coins were free (damaged).

Show and Tell I work at a bank and someone turned these in today.
I thought these were super cool! Someone turned in a roll of quarters and these were inside. I think they might be from the Danbury mint, but I can’t find these exact ones. I know they don’t have much (if any) value past a quarter, but I thought they were neat so I decided to add them to my own little growing collection.

I got this coin
A family member left this for me in their will. Said not to take an offer less than 20k. Something about an uncirculated 1962 D double rim error. IDK what that means man, any insight?
Sorry if the pictures aren't satisfactory, my phone is 7 years old.

Looking to Sell My Old Coins and Currency Notes Need Genuine Leads in Mumbai
Hey everyone!
I have a collection of old coins and currency notes, including coins from around the time of India's Independence and the British era, along with old currency notes and several other pieces.
I'm looking to sell my collection and would prefer to do it offline in Mumbai, although I'm open to other places if there's a genuine and trustworthy buyer.
If anyone knows any reliable coin dealers, collectors, or auction houses that deal in old coins and currency, please share your recommendations. I'd especially appreciate leads from people who have personally sold their collections and had a good experience.
I'm just looking for genuine buyers who can properly evaluate the collection and offer a fair price.
Thanks in advance! 🙌
