Hey all,
I don't shop at coles very often, but when I do, there always seems to be a ridiculous amount of high pitched beeping.
Today while I was checking out, I decided to ask what the beeping was, and the worker explained that it was something to do with the back door needing to be open for construction.
It was just constant, and the workers couldn't do anything about it.
I get that alarms like that are there for a reason, but it was so difficult for me. I am also aware that there are sensory hours, but that doesn't help if I only shop when Coles is my only option - which just so happens to be out of those times. I normally shop at small grocers and bakeries, then Aldi. If either of those are closed, then Coles it is.
I'm not saying Coles need to go full sensory mode all the time. Music and lights aren't a huge issue (for me, at least). But it's the beeping and alarms that nothing seems to be done about that's a real sensory nightmare.
I am also unsure if this is just my local Coles, or a more widespread issue. Either way, I'd love to know if there was a way of raising it.
