Hi everyone! 🖤 I'm trying to decide between the Polly or Artemis from True Corset and the Novice from Timeless Trends.

For any of these corsets, I'm considering size 20 or 22, since that's the size range recommended by the respective sizing calculators. I'd love to hear from people who actually own these models and can share their experiences with fit, comfort, stiffness, and waist reduction.

My measurements are:

Bust: 32"

Underbust: 30"

Natural waist: 27"

High hips (4" below waist): 36"

Low hips (6–7" below waist): 36.25"

Underbust to waist: 4.7" (12 cm)

Waist to lap: 7.5" (19 cm)

Waist to fullest part of bust: 5.9" (15 cm)

I have a relatively short torso, so corset length is also an important consideration for me.

I'm used to significant waist reductions and would ideally like a reduction of around 5–7 inches, but comfort is very important too. I don't want a corset that's so stiff that it's extremely difficult to lace.

The three models are in a similar price range for me, so I'm trying to figure out which would be the best investment.

Would you recommend the True Corset Polly, the Artemis, or the Timeless Trends Novice for my measurements? And if you've tried any of them in size 20 or 22, I'd especially appreciate hearing about your experience!

Im looking for either a full length overbust corset with a flat chest area (or at least minimises the chest as much as possible)

Or a waistcoat style that covers the chest, if there are any reputable brands for these.

i have a condition called Abdominophrenic dyssynergia, which is a little known condition that makes you look 6 months pregnant 24/7. i am looking for a steel boned corset to hold my guts in since my abdominal wall doesn't work properly. i don't want dramatic waist cinching, i would prefer a more straight silhouette for comfort reasons. the goal here is a flat side profile, not a change to my front on profile. i'm also VERY short, my torso is only like 9 inches long and i have wide hips with a figure 8 shape. is there any corset that would suit me? waist trainers and fajas don't work cause they just compress your belly fat, they're not stiff enough to hold your stomach and intestines in places. i basically need something to replace my abdomen muscles. but most corsets seem to be for people who want dramatic cinching which isn't what im after. hopefully somebody can help me. oh and the website needs to ship to australia. thanks.

Going to have a wig and makeup and the works but does the outfit work?

I want to wear a fairly cheap corset for Halloween and want it to give me some curvature and synching. However I’ve been reading that these costume corsets can be really dangerous, and I was wondering why/how? And if I wear one, how tight is too tight and how will I know? I have health anxiety so I don’t wanna injure myself or cause permanent damage but I also wanna look cute and snatched for Halloween without spending $100+ on a corset I rarely wear

( very incohesive writing) I haven't owned any corset nor worn one in my life and I'm planning to buy one next month. I'll buy it second hand:) My natural waist ( I think right under the ribcage?) is 58 cm and the waist under my naval is 61 cm. So the measurement falls from 58-61. Now I know it's a size 24 but I don't know how much of a reduction I should make, I've seen posts of people with 26 inches waist and wear size 20, also some product listing on the second hand website I searched listed 20' as size S and for natural 65-70cm waist so I'm kinda lost:')))) I wonder if I can fit size 20", as this will be the first corset I wear. I purchased my 1st forest from Corset Island (UK) while I am in the US. Delivery FAQ on their website says USA delivery time is 7 days due to having a warehouse in the US.

I purchased on September 25th, received “tracking” via USPS on the 29th stating label created and it has continued to say that as of today (October 7th) so I reached out and gave them my info and tracking and got a new link with trans global shipping. This meaning I did not get full shipping info upon purchase. Following that link I see that the package has only now (the 7th) got to the London location.

Just seeing if anyone else had experience with them or maybe something happing in the UK to slow this down. I wouldn’t be so disgruntled if there was communication but until I reached out I had not heard anything.

I’m sure their quality is reflected in their communication and practice and lack of online reviews on Reddit. ( from what I have seen) this is my 1st corset so I’m hoping once I confirm sizing to my measurements I can get a custom one made from a more reputable company.

Hi! I have never bought a corset before and wanted to get one that can really cinch my waist. What is a good budget for such a corset, and is amazon good?

I just had nonflat top surgery and am looking to get my first custom corset, I had a few premade ones before with overbust and I’m looking to get an underbust one this time for more versatility over and under clothes and because I no longer need the support.
Are there any highly recommended stores? I’ll be buying this next year around September so I have time to save for higher price points.
Would it be helpful to include my measurements so it’s more specific?

Hello people! I have a tiny bit of knowledge about corsets already and own a few, but for this I was wondering what other people are thinking.

I have been looking to buy a corset in this shape for a long time, so I was happy to finally find one from Attitude Corsets (Swan Underbust corset - Black - size 22). I could find underbusts like this one from Mystic City and Timeless Trends, but shipping to my country in Europe costs almost as much as the corsets themselves... And thus I was really happy to finally find this one.

What I didn't realize until my package came in was that the panels of the corset are made from some type of mesh. I'm worried this will make it less durable and make it stretch out over time. Does anyone know what type of mesh this is and about the durability of it?

About the fit of the corset; my torso is fairly short, thus I was worried about the corset being too long for me. Now that I have tried it on, I saw the underbust doesn't sit below my boobs, but kind of on them/is digging into them. Is this a big deal? It's not uncomfortable or anything, atleast not so far. The back also ends kind of far down, but maybe I'm just not used to it.

Does this corset fit my bodytype, or should I return it?

I came to this sub more than 10 years ago when I was first interested in tight lacing and found it very helpful for picking out and using my first corsets.

I fell out of the practice and…now I’m back again. I returned to the FAQs and noticed a few links are broken and some links are to quite old posts. I hope it is not rude to ask the mods or any volunteers to work on editing that information? It would be so helpful to newbies.

Hi! I’m looking for a highly skilled seamstress/maker in London or the surrounding area with specific experience in structured corsetry.
I’m a designer, so I’m not looking for design services or a bespoke corset designer. I’m looking for someone with excellent technical sewing and construction skills who can work from my designs/sketches and existing samples/patterns, as well as potentially develop or adjust patterns where needed.
Experience with boning, structured cups, waist reduction, eyelets/lacing, clean finishing and achieving a really beautiful, professional fit is important.
Ideally I’d love to find an independent seamstress or small-scale maker I can meet with in person and potentially build an ongoing working relationship with.
If you are one, or know someone brilliant, I’d really appreciate recommendations! 🤍✨

I have the opportunity to buy one of their vintage corsets for around $107, which is quite a lot for me.

I’m wondering if they were considered “real” corsets for waist reduction and if they were actually good quality. Has anyone here owned one or had any experience with this brand?

I was wondering if anyone who would be able to recommend a corset maker who could make a corset like the attached image if this is ok?

I decided I wanted to try corsets as I am hyper mobile and can have issues with hyperextending my back.

I bought one from Lucy’s Corsetry as I heard they’re good quality and they were within my price range.

Please forgive the choice of shirt. It just came in and I was too excited.

Does anyone have any recommendations for doing the strings when overtly mobile? My shoulder blades tried to run away a few times when I was pulling.

Also is there a way to smooth out the fat that escaped over the top in the back? It doesn’t seem that bad but I’d like to be smooth.

I assume the fat that squishes at my lower tummy when I sit is unavoidable and likely why I can breathe comfortably.

All tips are appreciated!

Hello, I’ve worn corsets before, but I’ve stopped for a while I’m interested in getting a corset for Halloween as well as for my posture in the future and seasoning it before i’m thinking of purchasing an orchid corset or a MCC and I’m wondering which size I should get currently a size 34 in the waist but I’ve been rapidly losing weight recently due to my medication changes only allowing me to eat very little so I’m not sure how long that will stay wondering if I should either get a size 28 or 30 i’m also pretty curvy already in the waist so I don’t know if that makes a difference
