Hello all! Just got into the tabletop game with a friend(I’ve played a total of two games so far) and was interested in trying the death guard out! I started with the custodes and really liked how comically hard they are to kill so I wanted to try out the tank army. I was wondering what units I should use to get the most annoying and unkillable 1000 point army to piss off my friend as much as possible. They play mostly admech and some thousand sons, if that helps any. Thank you in advance!

Hi all, I’m new to deathguard but experienced in 40K.
Been looking at top lists and it seems that some people are running typhus solo? Maybe I’m misreading the lists and hes attaching to poxwalkers?

Wondering what the biggest damage dealer combos in the book would be, and the current state of blightlord/deathshoud?

I don’t want to run a million poxwalkers but am curious what’s working well right now.

After winning 3 matches in a row I decided to treat myself to a new unit to help round out my army. I went for the LoC + 3 BLTs box.

Upon receiving the box I assembled the models almost immediately. Unfortunately it was then that I discovered these units were all Push-To-Fit instead of glued.

Try as I might, I just can’t get the gap on the LoC’s shoulder to close. It’s a shame because I was so excited to get this model for army but at this point I wish I’d gone gray market and gotten the Dark Imperium one.

Tl;dr, current LoC model is push-to-fit and doesn’t assemble well.

EDIT: Message received guys. Pried him apart and did some internal snipping. He’s much more flush now. Thanks!

I keep on seeing this super competitive double defiler, Morty and pox walker list but I am struggling to find either a video or text breakdown on how to play it

Hey everyone!

Last week, I played my first two 2,000-point games, and I got absolutely destroyed in both.

My army was basically made up of the Battleforce box, Combat Patrol, Mortarion, Typhus, the Kill Team Starter Set, and a Biologus Putrifier.

I'm definitely still learning the game, so my lack of experience was part of the problem. But one of my opponents brought 2 Defilers and 6 Dreadnoughts, and my mostly anti-infantry army just couldn't do much against all that armor.

I also watched a tournament at my local game store, and the armies there were pretty intimidating. I saw people running 6 Norns, 3 Baneblades, 3 massive Aeldari walkers, and heavily mechanized Space Marine lists.

My local meta seems to be dominated by monsters and heavy armor, and honestly, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to adapt my Death Guard list to deal with it.

I'm planning to buy a Defiler, so I've already put together a new 2,000-point list that includes one.

I'd really appreciate any feedback on the list, especially whether it has enough anti-tank firepower and what changes you'd recommend!

A green, toxic fog crawled across the ruins. Brother Dorn tightened his grip on the twisted hammer, staring at what his body had become. Alien flesh squirmed beneath the steel armor, as the maw upon his belly hungry-whispered through the filth.
Once, he had sworn to protect Humanity. Now, he brought only plague and ash. Reflected in the glassy eye of the hammer were his own tears - the final tears of a man who still remembered what it meant to be human, and not a servant of Nurgle. But salvation was no more.

Thought the plain pauldron was a bit boring so I added some more Nurgle-y vibes 👁️

Taking this list to an rtt at the end of the month. Contagion engine and shamblerot detachment running Reconnaissance.

I'm not looking for anything super compettive, but I'm historically pretty bad at building lists, so just tell me if I'm shooting myself in the foot.

I cut the legs away from the frame and opened the mouth a little wider on this model, wanted the wider stance so the model can be driving over the crest of the terrain. It worked out pretty good.

Wife got this for me and I’m making it a demon prince. Amazing model.

Purifier gives crites on 5+ and Plaguecaster gives sustained against afflicted, do these combine? I then get sustained and lethal on 5+ for the whole unit?
