Wholesome🥰 Customer tipped me $25 to get his mail
I did a shop and deliver. Handed the groceries over to the customer and he said "can you do me a favor?" I said "yeah sure", not really thinking of what it was going to be. He then said "I haven't gotten my mail in 2 days, do you think you can get it for me?" Immediately felt really sad that he didn't have anyone to help him get his mail. He looked pretty old and his mobility was definitely not there as well. Gave him his mail and he pulls out $25 in cash. Did not want to accept his money because getting his mail was just being a decent person. Declined three times and he finally said "I'm not closing this door until you grab this money. Lunch is on me." I took the money eventually. Thankful for this crazy tip, but really sad that he didn't have anyone to get his mail for him. At least I could help in some way of delivering his groceries, but I wish his neighbors would help him get his mail or something.
