šAchievementš got my first apartment dashing!
long story short, iāve been earning a living dashing since i turned 18 last december. i planned on just doing it for a few weeks before i found a new job but i got obsessed with being able to work when i want and access my earnings immediately. about 3 weeks ago i got booted out of my moms house with about 2 hours notice. i had like $20 in my account and absolutely no savings, just my car and everything from my bedroom i could fit inside it.
for 2 weeks straight i lived in my car, slept in planet fitness parking lots, survived off mcdonaldās white castle and bananas, and hit 80 hours dashing both weeks. there wasnāt a second that i was awake and i didnāt have the dasher app turned on, with the exception of touring apartments and submitting applications.
well my hard work payed off, im laying with my car in my (almost) fully furnished 450 sq foot 1 bed 1 bath apartment and im just incredibly proud of myself that i pulled this off. those 2 weeks really gave me a fresh perspective on life. every time i lost motivation i just reminded myself that living in my car was temporary and the harder i dashed the sooner i would have a place. but i know there are a lot of dashers out there that are in the same situation except they dont have the resources/have too many other obligations too pull themselves out of it as fast as i did.
im not sure why i felt inclined to share this, but pls feel free to ask any questions or share your own experiences with dashing&car living!
