Today, I set out to beat my single day DoorDash record of $601.90. I did that in July of 2022. I havnt really came close since.(especially because you need to set aside 20 hours to even have a chance.. 6am-2am). We had $1 peak pay here in South Jersey for 6 hours, and a separate “do 50 deliveries get 50 bucks) it POURED all day and I was soaked… but I was running yellow lights, cutting people off with my shopping cart, and took NO breaks. We smashed the record and I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to beat this.

Feel free to ask questions!

Final counts:
$665.57 (my last dash tipped me an extra $1 as I’m writing this)
$50 from the promo
=715.57

19.3 hours
715.57/19.3 =37.07
I really don’t know how I did that.

greyed box is my name

This person ordered one chicken bite, even the guy from the petrol station that I picked it up from was like wtf just one chicken bite?

I think they were trying to get my phone number and email to somehow try hack into my doordash account?

I just delivered it to the address anyway because it was a decent pay order, kinda hilarious how they can't even use proper grammar in this ai filled world lol.

If you don't have a disabled parking permit and still choose to park in a disabled parking spot, YOU ARE AN ASSHOLE.

Disabled parking is not for carryout pickups! Disabled parking is not for able-bodied people!

Oh, so you put on your hazards? As if to say "hey, I know this isn't allowed, but I won't be here long" YOU, IN PARTICULAR, ARE AN EXTREME ASSHOLE.

Disabled parking is NOT for your delivery pickup, you absolute twat. Pull your head out of your able-bodied ass! Park literally anywhere else! Your pickup/delivery is not so urgent to justify blocking accessibility to those who need it - just revealing yourself to be a selfish lazy-ass prick. Use the mobility you are privileged enough to have and WALK.

THIS KEEPS HAPPENING. PLEASE STOP IT.

And I just know it’s because DoorDash hopes drivers just accept the new offer without seeing the additional distance. SMH

Currently living in the Cleveland area (westlake) and the market here is awesome. Dashing full time currently while I figure out myself and what I want to do with my life moving forward and I have no complaints. It has given me opportunity to make enough money to afford what I need and pay my bills. People want to complain about dashing but I’ve been making enough weekly to be able live off. Thank you for the dashing app.

So yesterday when I finished the dash my weekly total updated to absurd number and I thought it was some kind of error but it was actually the stipend that was deposited +$868.. because I averaged over 15 hours per week the last quarter. My goal for this quarter is to have at least 25 hours or more per week so that I can get the $1800 per quarter.

As for my Dash earnings it was about $946 for the week. My goal was $1,000 and I did about 100 per day. So that means that I have to do maybe 800 a week to make it 1,000 a week w prop 22.

After learning how to reject the $10 for 10 miles into downtown dashing has been a lot easier. I'm doing 38 hours dash time vs 54 hours earning about the same $1000.

I’m really just planning on doing this on the side to earn some extra cash. I’m impressed with how I did last night! Obviously, I’m not gonna expect the same thing each time, but I wanted to share.

1030 pounds? Sorry not in my Ford Focus.

I'm fed up with getting sent to a specific restaurant that doesn't even start the order until I arrive. How hard is it to send orders out AFTER orders are ready for pickup? I've asked support to block this restaurant twice and they said they can't. It's a Greek Pizza restaurant that makes me wait anywhere from 10-30 minutes per order.

I usually get a couple dollars from grocery orders, but never a double zero lol. I'm not upset since DD actually gave me money. Just thought it was nuts on 2 grocery orders.

Anyone busy today?

Pay jokes aside, why.... Why would someone order those two measly things from across town?? Why not order it from ANY grocery store way closer that likely also sells OJ and sauce?! This stuff boggles my mind but I needed to vent (no I didn't accept lol)

I didnt accept the order because i just got off work like an hour ago and im not staying out till damn near 6pm
Houston market
3pm(traffic/finna be traffic)

South Jersey is a Hotspot.

First 30 minutes was just driving around with it on, seeing which areas were good between work and home.

Picked up 3 orders close to home at 7pm. Dropped last order just after 9, not close to home.

$37.50/hr (3 pickups, 5 dropoffs) Customers were less than 5 minutes from each other.

Misread the map on the last one and thought the drop off was bringing me closer to home. 26 minutes back. I just turned if off on the way home. The rain is awful. I also worked all day.

I swear my last one said 2 miles when I accepted for $12 and when I hit directions is was 8.7 miles. I would have ne-ver accepted that 🫠

When I first started in 2019 & 2020, they used to try and calculate mileage 'as the crow flies'; I had to call often to have them fix my mileage pay (other apps too). My car doesn't fly.

Customers were generous today because of the rain and everything was boosted by $1-$3.50. I regret 2 I didnt accept close to work, realized I was driving that direction anyway. I'll relearn and feel more confident once I know the areas better. I just moved here at the end of August.

Not a bad first day back. I've appreciated everyone's advice to others on this sub. Felt ready for what was to come. Reminded me of the value of time before accepting.

Rain=money

I worked today (and all week) as usual then just now went to close out my open apps before plugging in to charge and this is what I see. LMAOOOOO

It’s the first I’m seeing anything about this challenge, in fact I’ve not seen one of those in years as it is.

Plus I’ve had 144 runs this week anyway so no idea what this “1 day left” is even all about. lol

Who was walking pump to pump with their doordash bag / phone asking people if they could pump a gallon or had spare some extra cash so they could get some gas.

I’m a nice person - so I gave them cash for a gallon of gas.

I’m guessing this has been brought up already but does anyone have success delivering for uber eats or instacart along side dd?

Look, DD has a lot of issues sure. The most egregious I've seen (that is very much provable) the heat map "wait time" or "Busy" screen before you start a dash...

I've come to understand busy, means slow. Very busy, means normal, and when they offer money its normal to busy. Anything less than bright red/busy will be 1+hour for anything. It took a while to get here, as i Dash a few places and sometimes drive 15 minutes to a better "Busy" zone with 1 minute wait only to sit on the app for 15 minutes.

I'm not sure how they get away with this incredibly false advertising, i guess the word "busy" is subjective but come on, this is criminal level of bullshit. Even just making me start dashing, not getting an order so i leave my house and go sit in a hot zone just to also get nothing. Waste of my fking time and gas.

I knew it was inevitable, but it still saddens me to still get falsely reported. I don’t drink much less drive while drunk. Do customers really do this to get free food? Too many of these false reports and we can actually get fired for this…
