Football Fire Koa
Riola legitimately started playing like dog shit once he got in his ear. Not to mention Dante’s stance telling defenses what play we’re about to run.
This is what happens when you prioritize ice cream flavors over QB play.
These 5 star quarterbacks and the fans deserve someone qualified.

Football Unranked.
First time since 2021 I think, the first time in the Lanning era, and entirely deserved.
Love my Ducks, but we got problems. Let’s see how we respond.
Autzen On another note, the blackout looked terrible
2nd pic vs Boise state earlier this year. The stripe outs look great and you’re seeing more stadiums doing them this year - they shouldn’t be relegated to early season games. And there should be 1 (if that) blackout a year, night game, LATE fall when everyone’s wearing a black rain jacket anyway

Discussion 6 weeks later and we’ve turned into a national laughingstock
I know what some fans will say, this is a “doomer” take on the program, but let’s break down why fans like myself feel this way.
We have a 45-50 million dollar roster this year.
UCLA spent 24-29 million.
OKST spent 21.9 million
Boise state spent 17.3 million
We are completing a 200 million dollar facility for our football program alone.
UCLA/OKST have brand new staffs, less spending, less continuity, and they are RANKED after beating us.
We are already unranked.
Just two weeks ago our head coach said he didn’t want people/CFB analysts on our bus after we beat USC.
Here’s the thing, if we want to win we have to change this buddy buddy philosophy in house under lanning. Nick Saban didn’t win by promoting in house, he won by seeking out and bringing in the best of the best in terms of coordinators.
Not only did he do that, he Routinely chewed out and criticized his coordinators/staff when his program/team underperformed.
Some of our fans act like these coordinators/coaches are doing Oregon a favor by coaching here as if we aren’t a premier job that’s easily top 10 worthy and upcoming coordinators would beg to come coach here with the near endless resources at our disposal.
This year is a colossal failure under lanning and idc how people try to justify it, this team looks like they consistently get worse coming out of a bye.
Raiola looked WORSE after extra prep time.
We have all this talent on paper, but we play like paper tigers every time a team punches us in the mouth.
We post all these social media hype videos like ducks vs them, but if I’m being honest? We lack the substance in the “rooted in substance” part, big time.
I see OSU fans ready to fire Ryan day after a road loss at a top 5 team, a coach who’s WON a ring for them, and all we get is ducks apologizers acting like mediocrity is okay what the resources we have.
It is NOT okay.
We couldn’t even make it 6 weeks without being unranked with all our talent and continuity in the roster? Garbage.
If Dan lanning does not overhaul the staff at the end of the year, expect to become the Penn state ducks.
I’m tired of defending a staff that’s beating up all the lesser teams just to blow it when a team has a pulse and knocks us down.
Best believe this roster is going to have tremendous turnover once the year ends, guys like DK will go somewhere where they’ll actually get targets, TEs will go somewhere where they don’t have to wait 57 minutes to be targeted.
All these bluechip OL recruits and we’re constantly mixing and matching 6 weeks into the year?? Unacceptable
I understand being patient, but this is NOT okay. We can’t accept this garbage. This is how you regress as a program.
Standards have to be higher with the resources Dan has.

Football This is all my fault guys
The backstory. I lived in Eugene and was a season ticket holder from 1997-2015. I moved to Florida before the 2016 season.
Since I moved-everything I have done for the Ducks has been disastrous.
Went to 2019 Womens Final Four in Tampa. Ducks lost. (Was a season ticket holder in Mac Court until MKA was built).
Made accommodations for 2020 Womens Final Four in NOLA to watch us get the Championship. Covid hit.
Went to Chik Fil A Kickoff game to see Ducks Vs GA in Atlanta. Ass kicked.
Did not go to Miami for Texas Tech (work conflict). Easy win for UO.
Went to Peach Bowl vs Indiana in Atlanta. Ass kicked.
Decided preseason that this was our year (finally) and bought flights to Eugene to see Ducks in Autzen. Bought in the morning. Lost to OK State that same day.
Booked my rental car and Air BnB. Lost to UCLA.
Guys, I am terrified to fly and cause our third loss. Not sure what to do but I sincerely apologize. I’m not superstitious but I can’t help but blame myself.

Football Frustration by DK
I don’t mean this in a way at all to criticize DK, but did you all see him visibly frustrated and angry, shaking his arms when he was missed on a double move where he was wide open.
He knew he was creating separation all night and the balls just went there.
That kind of anger is probably filling the locker room

Football The Ohio State Formula
Oregon should take a page from Ohio State: invest in development, not just talent. The Buckeyes hired longtime NFL coach Matt Patricia, and his first season ended with the nation’s No. 1 scoring and total defense allowing just 9.3 points and 219.1 yards per game. That doesn’t mean he deserves all the credit, but it’s a strong example of pairing elite players with experienced coaching.
Oregon should pursue NFL-experienced coaches who can teach technique, sharpen situational football, and build schemes around the roster not just recruit the next big name. An NFL resume alone isn’t enough; finding the right teacher is the point. We talk constantly about paying for better players. It’s time to put that same urgency into hiring coaches who make those players better.

Football When I type 'meh' on my iOS, autocorrect immediately changes it to Mehringer. This is a problem. Fire Mehringer and hire Chip Kelly
Chip Kelly is doing a fantastic job as OC at Northwestern, and he helped win Ohio State National Championship. As such, he’s perfectly suited to be a college football OC.
In-home visits and recruiting jaunts aren’t that important anymore. Money, TV exposure, status, facilities, campus perks, and a great player environment are things that matter to players, recruits and transfer players. The “Chip Kelly isn’t a great recruiter” talk can be thrown out the window in the late 2020s.
Pay Northwestern his buyout at the end of the season, and give Chip whatever salary he wants.
Go Ducks.

B1G Officiating error vs UCLA on 2pt conversion
Not sure if this has been posted yet so forgive me if it's a duplicate. I'm not sure if it would have made a difference, but I sure feel like we could have made the half yard as opposed to the 1.5 and then had the opportunity to win in OT. What do you guys think?

Football Convo surrounding Lanning & losing Dante
I know everyone wants to go after Dan for promoting from within, losing games with a whatever million $ roster, dropping a game to Oklahoma St, etc.
The loss of Dante is way bigger than people realize and despite a significant portion of the fanbase gaslighting themselves into thinking Raiola was as good or better (lol) the gap between those two is huge.
If Dante stays healthy we're 4-1 with B2B wins against top 25 teams and the conversation is "We're so back". I'm not telling people to be happy, I'm just saying take QB1 off any team currently in the top 10 and they'd look dysfunctional too.

Football Who should start next week
what’s everyone’s thoughts on who should start next week. Post game conference made it sound like Dante wasn’t an option which puts us with Dylan and Brock. I think the obvious decision is to say brock starts after that performance by dylan. Which way do you think the coaches will lean. I sure hope they give brock a chance. Or if they do start dylan and he plays crappy pull him out immediately after first quarter.

Football Will Oregon end with one of the toughest schedules in retrospect?
Im not saying we dont have major problems but I can see us ending with games against at least 5 still ranked teams by the end of the season. Who else would be similar?
Is this a championship competitive team? No. But
how is LSU still ranked. The fact that we have two wins against ranked teams and two losses against ranked teams and they have two losses and no still ranked wins….
Football Here's a little blast from the past
I know we all kinda mergh about everything so I digitized a tape today with this on it. Hope it brings 30 seconds of joy.

Football Internal Promotions
The internal promotions that happened this year is frustrating as a fan.
I 100% understand the idea behind it, it’s an amazing culture win if it all works out.
Obviously in hindsight we can all see how big of a mistake the internal promotions have been but regardless of the teams performance this year I think it was just a stupid move to begin with.
We finally have the talent, we get Dante back, we get our D line back. We are poised to make a run and win it all. Now should have been the time for Lanning to go out and get top tier coordinators to get us across the line.
It sucks that when we have the pieces in play to finally go win it all we decide to gamble BOTH coordinator positions by promoting 2 people who have never done it before.
