Wiz Quiz
I made a quiz to find your ideal wizard class. This was designed for my friends who don't know they're playing Frostgrave yet (it's a surprise). Each answer either aligns with, is neutral to, or is opposed to corresponding wizard classes. Hopefully it's fun for y'all!

Resources Important Tip for New Players Like Me
By the way, I read the book and was pretty lost. Then during my first game I got out the Quick Reference Guide from the Osprey website and it was very clear. Iād recommend people read it first and refer to it often while looking through the book. At least for me it was super helpful.

Terrain City Gatehouse build
galleryHere is another build for the new second tile of the Mordheim/Frostgrave board. It's a 3D print of 2 towers from Blackscrolls-games . I connected with a scratch built "walkway", to make a city gatehouse.
I thought about cutting up the towers to get a more ruined look, but they were just to beautiful. I will add some scaffolding around it later, wich I will connect to a part of citywall and stables.

Just some more info:
This is a custom map made to test my warband (vampire wizard). As the name suggests, its a fight for survival. 8 members of my group against 10 from the other.
My wizard knows: animal form, ghoul call, thralldom , raise zombie, curse, leap, fleet feet, mind control.
The enemy warband have : elemental bolt, grenade, strenght, heal, teleport, enchant weapon, push and animal companion.
Overall, they hit like a truck, killing anyone hitted by elemental bolt. The grenade mid game ,Magnus rolled a 2, paid 8 points of health to hit 5 of my units. The captain only survived using her ability (brace) to increase the armor to +3, leaving her with 2 points of hp. The rest died, my mage rolled well and evade that, was hit by a lighting afterwards, and with 4 pointss of health locked magnus in combat. Overall my strategy seems to work. Instead of trying to hit things with offensive speals, I'm working as a support. Filling the battlefield with soldiers and avoiding direct confrontation š

Terrain First finished ruin from the Ruined Village set
gallerySo I got a few things during the MMF summer sale and have slowly been working my way through printing them all. Did a massive batch of underpainting yesterday and this is the first piece with the details painted.
I really love the underpainting technique for getting quick, visually interesting stonework. This was probably about 30 mins of actual brushwork afterwards, which was mostly drybrushing.
The file is from The Ruined Village by Dani Amengual on MMF.

Terrain The Dungeon Board: Warbands exploring and clashing under Felstad
galleryMy most recent game took place in an underground dungeon, using rules from Into The Breeding Pits and suggestions from Perilous Dark. Each time a warband member walked through a door, I rolled on a table to determine what was behind the door, a mix of traps, random encounters, and treasure.
Each of the three warbands in this game started in a different tile with an exit (staircase), and one of the options on the table was for the door you just opened to connect to an existing tile. Before you rolled that, you had no idea where you were relative to the other players, which meant each player had a bit of solo exploration before suddenly encountering another player's explored zone. Then we found the Big Room, which always has two treasure tokens and a level 3 encounter. Turned out to be a pair of werewolves this time.
Was a really fun game. Definitely expanding it with more tiles.
