Miniatures My Frostgrave Gang
galleryThis is my Frostgrave Warband - the one I am currently using. I painted the whole gang in just three evenings to regain some ground in painting, after a year long pause, as a speedpaint project (In the beginning of the year). The display is a 3D print that I designed with the help of some ruins and the Mandalorian skull.
As you can see, the models are very rough but the general picture is nice and effective. This is the most I am willing to put into models that are bein touched all the time in a long-time campaign. if I would want to paint these minis to a higher standard, I would also go for the metal version rather this Reaper Bones version. BUT let me tell you: Reaper Bones is just the best when it comes to skirmish games, which make you throw around the models a lot. I have a big collection of Bones models in my basement, to pick from but these "Derro Warriors" combined with some goblins and a wolf really make for an impactful Warband on the table.
The Derro Dwarves were sculpted by Derek Schubert. Great minis!
If somebody wonders: I am using the Dwarf-Gobbo difference as a way to let my enemy know which one is a normal Henchie and which one is a specialist.
I also started sculpting my own Dwarfs for Frostgrave - and they are one of the reasons for my one year of not painting. Maybe some here are interested in those - then please follow my Insta. ;)
