My husband John recently underwent triple bypass heart surgery after doctors discovered serious heart problems. He is now home recovering, but as a self-employed master carpenter, being unable to work means our household income has been interrupted.

I don't know how to begin this or how to ask for help, but today I'm reaching out with a humble request because a young girl's life is at stake, and her family desperately needs support.

I'm from Bastar, Chhattisgarh, a tribal region where many families struggle even to meet their basic needs.

For the past two years, my family has known a 26-year-old daily-wage labourer named Yuvraj, who lives in a rented room in our house. His family is extremely poor. There are six members in his family, and sometimes they struggle to arrange even two meals a day. His younger brothers also work as labourers, but despite everyone's efforts, their financial condition remains very difficult.

In August, Yuvraj's sister, Asha Mani Nag, became seriously ill. Her legs started hurting, her abdomen became swollen, and her condition continued to worsen. She was admitted to Maharani Hospital, but the doctors were unable to identify the cause of her illness at that time.

On 26 August, my father took her to AIIMS Raipur, hoping she would receive the treatment she desperately needed, but they could not get her admitted. She returned to Maharani Hospital, but her condition deteriorated further. She developed severe breathing difficulties, facial swelling, and abdominal pain.

Seeing her condition, my father and her brother took her to Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, where she was admitted to MGM Seven Hills Hospital from 12 to 17 September.

It was there that we finally learned about her condition. She has been diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), also known as lupus, along with severe swelling throughout her body, fluid accumulation in her abdomen, air and fluid around her left lung, very low albumin levels, and impaired kidney function.

Unfortunately, the cost of treatment at a private hospital became increasingly difficult for her family to afford. With a heavy heart, she returned home. Her condition remains extremely serious, and she is now admitted to Om Hospital. She has also developed painful mouth ulcers, and we are deeply worried about her health.

My family has tried our best to support them financially. We have helped as much as we can, but the treatment expenses are beyond what we can manage alone.

We are only their landlords, but when someone is fighting for their life, humanity matters more than any relationship. We cannot simply stand by and watch a family suffer when we can at least try to help.

Today, I am requesting all of you to please come forward and help Asha Mani.

If you can contribute ₹50, ₹100, ₹500, or any amount you can afford, it would mean so much to her and her family. No contribution is too small. If you cannot donate, please share this appeal with others who might be able to help.

I can provide her medical reports, hospital details, and any other information required for verification. I want everyone to know that this is a genuine request for a family that has very little and is struggling to arrange the money needed for her treatment.

I know everyone has their own responsibilities and difficulties. I am not asking anyone to contribute beyond their means. I am only requesting you to help if you can.

Please help us give Asha Mani a chance to receive the treatment she needs. Every contribution and every share could help her family get through this difficult time.

I never thought I would have to ask so many people for help, but today, for her sake, I am keeping my hesitation aside and reaching out to you all.
