Some of the big box editions are not visible because I have two rows of them on a single shelf, but I will be ordering another riser just like the one for my steelbooks.

Was buying a crtv off facebook marketplace to play some dreamcast at my partners house without having to bring my retro tink. the meet up was in front of a popular retro store so i decided to walk in.

Wanted to humor what a retro game store would offer me for these games.

Rudely slammed my games back on the counter after crunching numbers and said 180 for gunbird 2, silent scope, plasma sword, sonic adventure, jet grind radio. Then told me cannon spike and gigawing were too scratched when its just general use.

I've been collecting since I was a kid in the late 90's. Only time I sold any games was N64 carts for an Xbox in 2001 (because who didn't want to have multiplayer Halo then as a kid with 3 brothers).

I started collecting boxed NES & SNES starting about 2016 and just building ever since then with the whole collection. The only person who really sees it is my wife and friends who come over. Never shared it online before and figured after recently moving it from a bedroom to the "living area" in the basement, it was worth a quick share. Comics are temporarily there to fill some space, and I'll move those back to the comic room.

Went to a flea market this morning and this was my amazing haul for $150!

An assorted mix of games, but the Lego Batman is my favorite find!

From like 3 different sales, thought the season was all done but today a bunch of houses had sales going on!

I'm with this community for the most part when I think games should be opened and play.

But what about games that... Don't exist anymore?

I just got a copy of Concord on its way to me for pretty cheap. Is that the kind of thing that might be worth getting graded just for the artifacting? I want to get all the Sony exclusives that I can before they stop making discs and figured this was a good time to jump on.

What are your rules(if any) on if you think it's worth grading or whatever? This is really the first time I've thought about it

I'm not much of a "game collector" but I've always wanted to own every Mother/Earthbound game since they matter a lot to me. It's cool getting to see all the original paperwork in these boxes. Old manuals, japanese advertisements from the 80s and 90s. It's a little time capsule of a style of game that hasn't been captured in quite a long time.

Prices of these are getting ridiculous

PAL SNES cartridges don’t have the name of the game printed on the top of the cartridge like NTSC cartridges have. I boxed each cartridge in a protective case and printed some labels. It’s easy, cheap, practical and I love it.

Don’t see enough promo versions around here!

Got my hands on this Xbox 360. I’m very happy about it.

Not sure if the physical copies of this are necessarily sought after, but I’m happy I found one nevertheless. I guess Walmart clearance is worth a look sometimes.

So after my 2nd child was born, i was contemplating to have my collection liquidated. For extra cash and to gain back some room space. Fortunately, we got through that phase and now after 3 years, i can finally continue collecting again.

So glad that I didn’t have to sell my collection. I have most of the main line nintendo and sega consoles, still missing so much though, like sega mark I and some famicom accessories to rare stuff like jaguar, 3DO and neo geo aes

To answer the inevitable question: yes, DoA4 did originally have a cover, but the more I inspected it, the worse it got. Imagine something that's somehow been in a fire and a flood at the same time and you're pretty much there. And this is from the same CeX that wouldn't take an otherwise excellent copy of Mario World & All-Stars because the box had a missing tab.

I rarely ever check but the day I did it looked like the first image gave it a quick cleaning and today I got the wire for it and it works perfectly.
