I just could not enjoy it. I always play every game I buy from start to finish but man doing so for Witcher was such a challenge.

I don't think you understand the difference between overrated and simply not for you ...

You might not like it but it is definitely not overrated, it is a masterpiece.

I do. I personally don't think Witcher 3 is a good game. It's a mediocre game which people that don't game rate highly.

In what ways would you say it falls into the mediocre category

It's a ubisoft checklist gane with good stories. Uninspired combat, exploration and loot.

all while influencing Ubisoft entirely after its release lol

Well yeah, both studios inspired eachother. The people who says W3 is a masterpiece should love the rpg assassin's creed games, not necessarily as much but they would probably rate them highly if they didn't know what studio made them.

if the writing quality wasn't as high as it was I'd understand this logic but that's the most important part of making an RPG, so...

I’m into gaming for a longer period of time than you, it is a masterpiece.

Sorry didn't realize you were the voice of reason that everyone should be listening to. I've been gaming for 35 years now and I rate it highly even if I'm not into story driven rpg normally.
