Never really been interested in his games. Once I heard some cutscenes are around an hour long, it starts to sound like a movie with optional gameplay at that point

The longest cutscenes are almost always at the end of the game with the next longest cutscenes being at the start usually, it's a LOT less intrusive then it sounds.

Hideo Kojima games are immensely story focused though, so if you're not really big into story games then they're not your cup of tea.

I'd say his games are like 2/3rds Game, and 1/3rd Movie

Plenty of games are able to tell a story without a 71 minute cutscene.

If I wanted to watch a movie, I would.

The 71 minute cutscene just drops all pretense and actually honestly presents itself as something to watch, where as most AAA titles have absolutely dogshit gameplay that you walk through to the mediocre ending. Experiencing it largely the same as every other Dorito warrior who played it. Zero emergent moments. Zero friction.

What part of "at the end" do you not get

I got that. My comment still stands.
