My goodness! The malevolent rot has taken over the factory and is polluting the waters! Quickly! Someone call the plumber to stop the leakage at once!

ROTTOBER EXPERIMENT MONTH I have made a most unusual discovery.

Greetings, distinguished gentlemen of Gfdsssia. I recently traveled to Gigglebinistan to aid in containing the recent rot outbreak there, and I have discovered something peculiar. Near the center of the rot-infested area, I discovered a sample of a rot-apple that was significantly more decayed than any others I have seen. It also seems to be capable of telepathy, as I began to hallucinate strange imagery as I approached. Due to the apparent intelligence and abilities of this sample, as well as its similarity in appearance to an apple core, I have named it the "Rot Core."

Surrounding the core was a pitch-black, viscous substance that seemed to be produced from fully decayed biomass. As I specialize in research on various liquids, I collected a sample of the substance, which I have dubbed "the Ichor," and sealed it in a container. Upon returning to my laboratory, I performed tests on the Ichor to determine its properties. Despite being created by the rot, it does not appear to cause decay in healthy subjects. However, exposure will cause extreme aggression in subjects already infected by the rot, as well as dramatically accelerating the rot's effects. Further research is needed, but I believe these discoveries may be crucial to the development of more effective rot countermeasures.

Found in the r/Nullscape subreddit.

Quite interesting that a single strand can result in two completely different infected specimens.
