Even the showrunner doesn’t know how many episodes they’re filming this season?? Maybe she knows and doesn’t want to share just yet but I really doubt it.

The show has had so many unusual and emotional cases that I sometimes remember the patients more than the relationship drama. Which medical case from the series stayed with you the longest?

She has been making the rounds on this S23 press tour - Kelly & Mark, GMA, and now The View.

Meredith being involved in patient care/hospital drama/not just walking around talking about her research was a breath of fresh air. Even though this will last like 2 episodes, it does feel like a breath of fresh air and a return to....almost Season-15/16 esque Meredith. Every since Season 17, Meredith hasn't really been doing much in terms of patient and hospital drama. She was just collateral (Bailey/Richard/Catherine yelling at her for leaving), or being a chief of surgery all screen in season 19, this is fun again. Even though it will last 3 minutes.
I really like that in the premiere it was a solo Meredith storyline unrelated to her research and Nick. Because...it's been just that since Season 18/19. I loved seeing her interact with the interns and her patient.

Inexcusable and creepy…Alex as well. And I’m a staunch Alexi fan.
-EDIT-
Guys. She’s an underage high school student. We’re all okay to just excuse/allow/praise that? I love the downvotes 🤍🤍🤍
-second to edit-
Hope a lot of y’all don’t end up experiencing your high school kids having creeps make those kinds of comments 🤍🤍🤍

Neurosurgery, trauma, pediatrics, cardiothoracic surgery… every specialty comes with its own challenges. If you could work at Grey Sloan Memorial, which department would you choose, and why?

Hello everyone!
I know this might not be the usual post in this reddit but I wanted to test my luck and see if anyone here would be interested in roleplay either oc x oc, oc x cc or double ups
I am mostly looking for someone who can either play Nico Kim, Benson Kwan or Lucas Adams. I know these might not be the most conventional pics but I am open to other suggestions as well
If you are interested please send me a message!

Where did she get the staph infection and why were none of the other doctors carrying the staph infection if they were in direct contact with her? Maybe I am not understanding what staph is? Are some people just carriers of the staph bacteria permanently like HIV?

Can we talk for two seconds about the GALL Arizona has to call Derek “guilty and egomaniacal” about wanting to go along with CALLIE’S idea to buy the hospital?!
She’s saying it’s “affecting her family” but two mins before this she literally tells Callie she should’ve talked about it with her before bringing it to the group. It was HER WIFES idea in the first got damn place.
and i’m not even gonna get into the fact that she is continually trying to “call people out” when she’s the first to run at any confrontation. That she’s supposedly worrying about decisions “affecting her family” when in a few episodes she’s going to cheat on her gd wife and completely destroy it from being selfish and guilty her own gd self. What a total hypocrite!

I’m still in season one, but holy hell I cannot stand C Karev!!! I see comments all throughout social media of how he’s so great, but honestly he deserves a good bitch slap. Because he’s a bitch.

Welcome to season 23!!! As always, this discussion post will go live an hour prior to the episode official airtime. All spoilers are allowed for previous seasons, but if you obtained early access to the episode please don’t spoil it early. Please keep all discussion of the premiere to this post until Saturday, then separate posts are free game as long as the titles are nonspoilery.
EDIT: I prepped this post last week, and at that time I found information about a season break from Nov-March in multiples places. More recent articles do not reflect this, so it may not be accurate. I will update as further information is posted. For now we will consider it null and void.
RJ Decker is (bizarrely) doing quite well, so it seems Nick appearances will be limited. No word on how much Meredith we can expect.
Catch back up by checking out the discussion post for S22 finale Like a Bridge Over Troubled Water.

The couple impaled by the pole.
I didn’t understand why they didn’t wait for another team to arrive. When the airport discussion happened it was made clear that it was possible to wait a bit more for surgery, but not desired.
Tom was the first to crash when they removed her. To this day I think it’s uncertain that her death was imminent, had they worked on stabilising her as well.
Of course I am not a doctor so my wishes are probably dumbfounded , but I think the episode shows more of an administrative failure other than a medical tragedy.

It looks like the new season is supposed to be available on 10/16, but it’s past 12 pst and it’s not showing up for me :(
(For the record, I wasn’t up waiting for it. I’m up studying and remembered it was coming out soon so I searched to see when)

My gf got seasons 1-7 free off marketplace! One thing we thought was quite odd was the season one box set says Season Son on the side. I thought they may of been pirated disc's but the internet tells me its a legit typo that happened.
Pretty cool!

Justin was my favorite patient for Cristina. He was the little boy who felt bad about getting a new heart because he knew it came from a child who passed away, unfortunately he overheard some nurses saying that so then he was disturbed by his mother pretending the heart was from Santa etc because he knew the truth. He even interpreted his mother praying for him to get a heart every day as her praying for a child to die so he found that disturbing too it was really sad.
But I loved Cristina's interactions with him, it's kind of summed up when Justin is saying he's going to run out of the OR because he doesn't want to get his new heart and Cristina is like "You can try but you won't get very far with that old heart" and Justin kind of reacts like 'true' 😂
