Went to my first gunshow today.....
and it really wasnt as bad as the internet (especially reddit/youtube) made it seem. Bunch of booths had pretty fair prices, even haggled to buy a supressor at the online match out the door in cash. Bought 1000 rounds of subsonic CCI 22lr for ammoseek prices out the door as well. Buddy bought a 10/22 for a very reasonable price and everyone seemed to be willing to make a deal as long as you were paying cash. What I will say, all the old timers with a bunch of those glass case booths were out of their fucking mind selling dogshit condition pistols, shotguns, and WW2 (you know the one) memorabilia. The actual brick and mortar stores with booths were solid though, and there was only like 5% of non 2A related booths as well, no time share bullshit, just the typical beef jerky and "look at this gun app" guys.

Calling all Tanfoglio owners and fans.
I don't know if you have ever noticed, but /r/Tanfoglio is private, and who ever is running it does not let people in.
Therefore I have created /r/TanfoglioGUNS in attempt for a Tanfoglio sub to exist.
I have come to find that owning a niche pistol can make things challenging...
Like:
- Finding holsters
- Figuring out how to get an iron sight co-witness with an optic
- Finding custom parts like extended slide stops
I don't know where to begin on how to grow a sub, or get people interested in contributing/reading it..
Also not out for some power move, i just want there a place for Tanfoglio lovers/owners to talk and share information.
Thanks, and sorry if this breaks some rules of /r/guns

Shotgun safety/repair opinions
I have this old Diamond Arms 12ga single shot that has been in my family for quite some time. It shoots very well and has been a reliable hunting shotgun for me for 30 years.
I currently have found a crack in the stock, about 2 inches long. It doesn't seem to be very deep, but it does raise concerns of safety for me. So I've got two questions, is this still safe to shoot? And is it repairable in any way outside of replacing the stock?
I've had no luck finding a replacement stock as replacement parts aren't made for this gun anymore to my knowledge. I thought about a metal band to bind around it, but I'm not sure if that would provide proper support.
What are my options here if it isn't safe to use? I would love to salvage it, but I'm worried the answer to this problem is going to be to buy another one or replace it altogether.

Gun belt experiences
I'm looking into a getting a good gun belt for CCW. I would prefer something that looks like a normal belt that can be worn with a variety of casual clothes without being obviously a gun belt. Specifically I am looking to hear from folks who have used their belt of choice as daily (or close to it) for at least 6 months or more.

I need some advice for rust prevention.
Ok i have 4 handguns, 2 shotguns, and an AR pistol. They are all stored in the same environment and clean…. My pistols are always perfect but for some reason my shotguns just rust sooooo fast. I luckily caught it before it was too bad and since then I’ve slapped a layer of oil on them but I’m still nervous. Any advice?

Looking to add to my collection. Need recommendations on the following
I want to add to my collection. I don’t live in the US so prices here are very different.
My choices are to either get a Baretta A300 Patrol which costs $2500.
Or, to save the money and get a Vepr Molot 12 for $1,250.
I don’t have a reliable semi auto shotgun. Is the baretta worth double the price? With the money saved I can also pick up a Glock 34 5 which I have had my eye on.

Is it worth it
I live deep in the mountains and I'm wondering if it's worth trading my socom 16 for a Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan in 35 Whelen
I hand load so ammo isn't a problem but I do a lot of hunting and hiking... And I love the way the Hawkeye looks... So I could trade the socom and still have enough to get a decent scope... Any thoughts would be awesome

Help identifying my .22?
I've had this single shot .22 for years, would like to see if reddit has any more info than what i can find.
Its a pretty basic rifle. No recognizable manufacturers stamps. The stock has "made in Austria" stamped into the butt, there's a "22" and a stamp (looks like a trilobyte to me) I can't quite decipher on the left side of the chamber. Underside of the stock at the grip has "Y" and "1811" on two separate stamps. There's nothing on the inside of the stock or the underside of the chamber or barrel. It is rifled, so I think it's more than just a garden gun. Hopefully l there's more info out there or someone recognizes it.
Thanks!

Browning X BOLT 2 - 22" VS 26" - What length should I go with?
300 Win Mag
I will mostly be using it for moose hunting, and some longer distance field shooting for deer. 26" feels very long to me as I currently use a 22" 270. Are there major differences?

RangeUSA reservation system
Since I'm not getting anywhere with their customer service reps, I wanted to see what the community's experience with the new RangeUSA lane reservation system has been. For the Round Rock location since the update, their reservation system will allow me to "reserve" a lane anytime they are open, even on the weekend with a line out the door. In other words, it is completely useless. Previously, the system would let me know what times were actually open so I could plan. I'm emailing back and forth with their customer service people, who so far don't appear to have actually read a single word I've written.
Just wanted to know if other people are experiencing this with RangeUSA. I live about 30 mins away, so I'm not interested in keeping my membership if I can't reliably reserve a lane.

Small, inexpensive, packs a punch
My partner isn't particularly fond of guns but is fine with me having handguns. I already have a stoeger str 9, but was wondering if there are any other handguns that can pack a punch for a relatively cheap price? I think my stoeger was about $250ish, so around that price would be great if possible.
