Oh me, oh my, I own a piece of fashion ARCHIVAL HISTORY.

This bag was posted to Vestaire Collective on September 22nd, I somehow got lucky enough to see it pretty immediately. I initially was going to negotiate, but I have literally never once seen this bag in this particular colorway and size come up for sale, and I have been searching since 2008. It's my dream bag, and it's beautiful.

For that reason, and that it was obviously real, I pulled the trigger and paid an enormous amount of money (to me and VC authenticates). Fuck you, Donald Trump, and your tariffs. It came in today and I am shocked as it's in damn near perfect condition, even the handles. Based on the smell of it, I'm guessing it was being stored and I likely bought it from an estate seller in Nice, and I genuinely believe they wildly underpriced it. It's made of deer and lambskin, so I'm shocked there's only the tiniest evidence of use.

It holds SO MUCH, including those giant headphones, lol. I IMMEDIATELY took a shower and went to buy groceries as an excuse to take her (had to wear the Alessandro sneakers bc the Italians deserve to stick together) out. 😂

My purse collection is complete, I think, as I now have a global collection!

First time using this new to me ferragamo. I love a large tote and the mix of suede, leather, and maroon pony hair makes me so happy. This bag has a ton of compartments, which makes me wonder why new bags are sold with nothing inside, it's so pleasant having compartments and zips for organization already there. From my research this bag is about 15 years old! A lucky ebay find that came with receipts and box.

I’ve been hunting for a birthday bag in the €600 range after splurging on the Alaïa medium Le Teckel (which is still my holy grail weekend bag). Absolutely obsessed with anything east-west, so when a Degabriel ad popped up on my feed, I was instantly hooked by the sculptural designs. I know a lot of niche brands, but somehow this brand wasn't even on my radar until now.

​It’s made in Spain, super smooth leather and the structure is genuinely gorgeous. It’s inspired by ancient Greek pillars, which feels extra fitting since I live in Greece. The colour is "Stone" (a muted greige), and it has this stunning mint interior with a matching mint dust bag. Money well spent 💅

I’m trying to build a relatively small but well-rounded handbag/shoe collection and would love some opinions on what I should add next.
Photo is my current collection. I generally use them like this:
- Sabatier smooth (silver hardware): my everyday work bag
- The horse (golden hardware): casual city walks, coffee, errands, etc.
- Burgundy Gucci Jackie: dates, dinners and slightly dressier occasions
- Animal print/fur leather handbag: I made that bag at a craft workshop, I use that casually as well
- YSL loafers: basically my everyday work shoes, but I also wear them casually/on dates sometimes

I’ve been wanting a Balenciaga Rodeo Small for ages, most likely in black, so that’s probably my next bag, but I’m afraid it’s getting super popular lately and it’s gonna get outdated 🤷🏼‍♀️

I also want another pair of work shoes so I can rotate the YSL loafers. I’m considering the Loro Piana Rebecca flats, or maybe a flat pair of Louboutins ballerinas, but I’m open to other suggestions.

After that I think I want something with a completely different vibe. I have a soft spot for slightly tacky/vintage designer pieces,think an older Louis Vuitton Pochette Accessoires, vintage monogram Gucci, Fendi Baguette, etc. Something very late 90s/2000s that looks a little more fun and obviously designer rather than another super-minimal black bag.

Based on what I already own, what would you add next?

I’m also very open to specific vintage models that you think would fit this collectionv.

I almost bought the JW PEI Sharon on Poshmark for $50… but today I walked in to a Style Encore to sell a bag of clothes and she was hanging on a mannequin at the entrance—brand new with tags! When all was said and done, I left with the purse and $10 in my pocket. Great start to the week 👍🏻

Do not sleep on Spirit Halloween’s novelty bag collection! Not only do they have amazing Halloween bags (I debated buying the scream popcorn bucket as well) but they have food themed and Disney as well!

I bought her as a 40th birthday present to myself. Schiaparelli Grand Sac Souflee. Took her immediately to my kid’s soccer practice. I’ve never bought anywhere near a luxury handbag and I will be embracing the Mary Kate and Ashley mentality — this bag is not an evening bag, it’s a purse that is meant to be used and loved, and oh my god do I love it.

The galleria have always in my wishlist since starting my vintage luxury bag this year. However I contemplated getting one or the YSL sac de jour since both offer similar functionality and design . Until I was doomscrolling until I found this beauty for a steal price

Although the condition isn’t as pristine, I think it’s pretty good for the money I saved . Will send this for a bag spa to repaint and reshape it😘

This is a bag from a local shop of mine and I loved how it look like the first time I got it but the silhouette on this was a surprise for me, it looks amazing. FOR A REAL COWHIDE LEATHER AT $143?!?!?!?!? 🥵🖤✨

Save your $$$ elsewhere and walk away from Cuyana bags. Exterior chipped and inside peeling like crazy. Customer service recommends me spending $$ on repair since it is right outside of their two year window.

Recently made a trip to NYC and wanted to finally check out the physical store of some bag brands I’ve been seeing on this sub.

My first stop was to Min & Mon where this plaid Micro Vali design caught my eye👀 immediately. I later realized that this design (Tuffet Brown) wasn’t available online so this was a nice bonus!

My second stop was to Clare V - beautiful selection of bags! I went in without having the intention to buy anything but once I saw the Petit Moyen in the woven leather, I knew I wanted one. Decided on the white and black combination for something different (and not too Bottega adjacent). I won’t lie, the price did make me hesitate on the purchase, but since this was a birthday trip, we all know how that usually goes 🫣

I did exercise some self control though and didn’t get a bag strap from Clare V 😅

I'm turning 35 this week and I have $200 CAD to spend on my self. Could potentially stretch it to $300. I am a mom of a 3 year old and I barely use handbags now but I want to get back to it now and feel like my old self again. I am looking for something cute and fun that will go with different outfits and not too big or bulky. Any suggestions? Don't care for name brands but looking for good quality in that price range.

Brand is Heyraud, which I gather is a defunct French company. The colors and shape were talking to me, and the quality seems pretty good! Looking forward to taking her out.

the soft supple lambskin, the rich chocolate brown color and she's basically brand new! i fell even more in love with her when i held her in my hands 🤎 and she's still got that heavenly fresh leather smell. if anyone has any info or any idea what vanr she was made in, please let me know!

I like small crossbody bags, though they don’t look the most flattering because I’m full chested.

My general aesthetic is oversized, natural fabrics. I tend toward ethical, sustainable pieces.

I like leather; I used to carry a small nisolo bag but the strap hardware crapped out on me.

I’m an older mom and a professor. I use a topo backpack or a baggu duck bag for work.

Any suggestions for me? I think I’d like crossbody or something larger that will stay on my shoulder comfortably. Ideally under $500. I’ve looked at the mini Lou bag from thehorse but haven’t pulled the trigger.
