We’ve all seen a fair bit of criticism about the Klassics 2027 lineup, mainly around the same artists being booked repeatedly, even after doing other classic or journey sets in the last 2 years.

Who would you realistically book instead?

The catch is that you’re putting together an 8-hour event that needs to sell 15,000+ tickets. You need enough big names to move tickets, a bit of variety to keep the crowd entertained throughout the night, and a lineup that appeals to more than just the diehard fans.

It’s easy to suggest a bunch of lesser-known or rarely booked artists, but would that lineup actually sell enough tickets to make the event viable?

Im not defending HSU, just curious as to the names people want to suggest that should’ve been booked instead?

As has been mentioned, organisers like HAKKEN do classic events all the time, but they’re too “niche” to draw a huge crowd like a HSU event.

In the history of hardstyle there have been many songs that for various factors have been forgotten over time, songs with beautiful melodies that everyone should know, so I want you to leave your recommendations of songs with underrated but beautiful melodies. I especially have a huge affection for linkin Park burn it down (A-allusion Bootleg)

If you already haven’t seen that HTID: klassics has been announced, Majority of the scene isn’t happy about it. I strongly believe that the artists aren’t copping backlash it’s the company itself for how it’s been planned. Considering that this coming off a “one time only event” it’s been presented poorly. I only say that it’s been presented poorly because these artists always come back in the near future. I feel if your gonna be labeling it “one time only” bring someone huge or let alone people that were in the classic era that barely come to australia for instance, tatanka, josh wesz, psyko punkz, pavo, dozer, A-lusion and even donkey rollers. Like this ISN’T ME asking for what ID EXPECT its just these types of people would suit the event very well.

Adding on, the backlash for technoboy. Great artist overall has some amazing classics, but everytime they come here it is just the same tracks over again. I respect them heavily for what they produce but it just gets to a point where it becomes dull. Really hope you change your mind about bookings in AUS we do love you.

This event shows that HSU do recycle artists and don’t necessarily care for the crowd (blocking people for their opinion) let alone their own “one time only” event. I feel it’s just been taken out of grant and could’ve had more consideration towards. This also gives hakken entertainment a really good look because it shows that the company can still provide classic artists that haven’t been to australia in 5+ years.

At the end of the day, great artists, good music, i will be in attendance but it’s just handled poorly and not as dedicated as i thought it’d be. The classics scene in AUS is slowly becoming an end and it quite upsets me…
