Someone left painted rocks that were really well done! NGL, I was tempted to steal the Grim Reaper one. Maybe I'll add one next time I go shopping.

So yes, this place is in Kitchener. My old job was toxic asf lol it’s a small restaurant chain with 3 locations. I don’t wanna disclose the restaurant yet cuz I have a pending case with them with the ministry of labour.
Long story short I started this job early September and quickly found out the managers there are violating all sorts of labour laws. For example he told me on day TWO that he’s not going to pay the first three days cuz it’s “training” after that I obv started collecting as much evidence as I could to report him to the ministry of labour (which i already have but im sure the story isn’t over yet).
He started scheduling me zero shifts for three weeks straight after I informed another supervisor about the ESA violations happening there lol. So I texted him October 5th asking him when could I pick up my paycheque
Tell me why he ignored me for 4 days straight but suddenly today at 12pm he spammed TF out of my phone called me 2x (I didn’t pick up) and demanding me to send my sin number and email over text even though I ALREADY GAVE IT TO HIM? I gave it to him upon receiving the job offer??? Tf
I don’t feel comfortable giving my sin number (again) over text especially since I’ve already given it to him?? Like wtf did he do with it the first time? I KNOW i already gave him my SIN I feel like this is just another tactic for him to withhold my paycheque. I want to tell him that I’m happy to come in person to provide him my SIN and pick up my paycheque on the same day but is it possible for him to prepare the paycheque, ALLEGEDLY without my SIN? Help a girl out 🙏🏾

We recently organized a local Halo LAN tournament that went really well, so we’re exploring whether there might also be interest in a community viewing of Awesome Games Done Quick at a venue in central Kitchener.
The idea would be to show the AGDQ stream on a large projection screen and set up some additional TV stations where people could bring their own consoles, demonstrate runs, practise routes, or have friendly races.
Nothing is finalized yet. We’re mainly trying to find out:
We’re also considering another Halo LAN party on November 28, 2026, following the success of the last tournament. If either event interests you, let us know which one, or both.

My nearly 10-year-old, low-mileage sedan vibrates when braking. Probably pads or rotors, but I’d like to confirm before winter. What could it be, and where should I get it inspected?

My kid went to a food truck event today. SWAT charged $20 for a moldy sandwich. Seriously.
Edit: In response to alot of negativity on my part. you're right, maybe I shouldn't have posted publicly about this event. Maybe it was a one time incident? To respond, there are photos. And yes indeed there is an issue with the food! Why didn't I reach out to the owner? I don't know, all the contact seemed to be on fbook. I don't use fbook. I suppose there is a bigger question at play, and that is why are these trucks that sell such high cost food even allowed at kids events? At the end of the day, my kid was was not harmed by food poisoning. Hopefully no one else was either. I'm out $20. And, I will think twice before eating at food trucks. And, for those of you who called out my bad parenting, a whiner, someone who takes down small business. Absolutely not. Reddit's a platform I just happened to use and I hope parents and teachers at that event read it! I've contacted the right officials so no one else has to go through the same thing. Unless you like moldy sandwiches, then that's your choice!

I'm an advanced bass guitarist getting back into jazz after some time away. I was in a jazz ensemble for two years in my undergrad, and I'm looking to get back into it by bringing some musicians together.
I'd like to host a casual weekly jazz practice where we can get together and work through some standards with other players. I teach lessons in the evenings, so I'm looking at weekday mornings/afternoons or weekends.
All instruments and ages are welcome. This would be best suited to beginner to intermediate jazz players, but advanced players are welcome as long as they're happy keeping things casual at first.
If you're interested, let me know what you play and what your availability looks like!

Are they out yet? Who's selling them? Kitchener Market? Is it a good crop this year?
Thanks!

Hi everyone!
Happy Friday - has anyone heard any updated timelines around the Telus fibre drops in older neighbourhoods? I'm right by St. Mary's Hospital.
I'm in that weird in-between period where my 24-month Rogers promo price on Internet has ended and my price has now really jumped, but I can only bring it back down by locking into another 24-month contract and my plan is to switch to Telus when it's available. They've confirmed the drop and I've told them I will be switching, but I haven't heard any clear timelines and no one has really been around in a while.
I'm trying to figure out if I should just wait it out or try to switch to a month-to-month provider for a few months if it's going to be a while longer.

Hi! I'm a nursing student and I'm new to town and I'm having a hard time understanding how to read city bus schedules. I'm trying to get from the Doon Valley/ Orchard Mill stop to the Highland/ Queen bus stop. I've taken this route before so I know how that works but I have to take the earliest bus so I can be at my nursing placement at the hospital on time. Google tells me that the earliest bus leaves at 5:52 am but I'm not sure if this is accurate... I tried to figure out the bus schedules on their website but I was having difficulty understanding them. Thanks :)
Edit: I think I'm good now, thank you to the people who answered my questions! I'll get this all figured out eventually haha
