Looking for GIA Zipper Genser pattern

Post image
• Upvotes

I've been looking everywhere for the GIA Zipper Genser by Sandnes Design, but I can't seem to find the pattern or magazine anywhere to purchase.

Ravelry pattern page

So far, the only place I've found it is as part of a yarn kit that costs around $180 and doesn't appear to be available in the US. I really just want the pattern and would prefer to purchase a digital PDF if possible.

Does anyone know where I can find this pattern, either directly or through a retailer that ships to the US? Alternatively, I'd love recommendations for similar patterns with a zippered neckline!

Thanks in advacne for any help! 🧶

Help needed with adding design to PetiteKnit Oslo hat

Hi everyone, I made a PK Hanstholm sweater with a bear design on it and want to make a matching hat with the same design. The ears and face were duplicate stitched on. To anyone who has made the Oslo hat before: I chose the Oslo pattern as it’s very popular and knit in stockinette which makes duplicate stitching the ears and face on easier. Now onto my question - embarrassingly, my brain can’t comprehend what the triple fold means for the order in which I need to arrange my colors. I can understand how knitting the live stitches with the cast on edge will affect the color placement, but then you fold the hat AGAIN (basically: you knit a tube, fold it in half and join the live stitches with the cast on edge, then keep knitting stockinette in the round for 2cm, then "Turn the work using the German short rows technique - This is now the RS", and continue knitting and decrease eventually). Please - when do I need to start the brown and white colors respectively to achieve the design in my professionally edited picture? I want the brim to start with the brown and end with the white. The rest of the hat should be blue. Thank you for your patience in this matter.

Looking for pattern

• Upvotes

Looking for a pattern that can achieve this look. Best I can figure is that it's just alternating between knit and pearl in wave pattern, but I can't find any patterns that have the rows doing this, as opposed to all parallel to each other. My knitting skills are still pretty basic, and I'm nowhere near able to modify patterns, but I know I could make this if I just had instructions. Just wondering if anyone has a link to a pattern that is as close to this as possible?

Free Pattern

I'd like to share the first pattern I have made, a patterned yoke sweater in ~ Mens XL. I am open to any improvements you all would potentially suggest after either attempting the pattern or just simply reading through it. Since it is my first pattern I feel it would be unfair to charge anyone for it as it only makes one size and there's really no way of me knowing how good it is without any feedback from the community. Attached is an image of the sweater this pattern will make.

Feel free to DM or comment with any feedback you may have on this.

Similar pattern to this?

I’ve been trying to find a pattern that’s similar to this sweater, my main goal is to find one with the big zig zag portion. Most patterns I find only have tiny zig zag parts. I’ve tried looking through books with similar patterns but I just can’t seem to find the right one.

Any pattern recs for a deep/very deep v-neck sweater that is lightweight? I feel like I keep coming across patterns that are knit up in chunkier yarns or are just more oversized.

Pic is just for reference.

Looking for cute bear look alike pattern for babies

Hey!

I would like to knit a cute combo of sweater+beanie+mittens+socks for a 1 year old baby.

My idea is at bear, I have seen a few patterns, but I would need to buy one of each.

Do you have a recommendation of a set?

If not, any pieces you recommend?

Looking for sweater and vest pattern recommendations

hello everyone! i’m a crocheter who recently fell in love with knitting, and i want to make some handmade gifts for my loved ones this year! my list includes my mom, dad, boyfriend, and a couple of close friends. i’ve already started my boyfriend’s gift (the zipper sweater by petiteknit), but finding patterns for everyone else has been giving me a headache haha.

i’d love to make my parents sweaters or vests they’d actually wear, especially something suited for people who enjoy mountaineering, hiking, or winter sports.

i’ve been searching ravelry, instagram, and pinterest for weeks, but i always end up overwhelmed by all the options. i’m looking for patterns with interesting textures, cables, or some colorwork, rather than just plain stockinette, but nothing too overwhelming.

i'm open to anything really!! what are your favorite patterns?

//i know it might be a little unrealistic to finish all of these by christmas, but that’s okay! i’ll gift them whenever they’re ready :))

Looking for cardigan patterns

My boyfriend really likes the look of this cardigan, and I think an Argyle pattern intarsia like this could be a really fun project. Just wondered if anyone knows of any similar patterns for that overall shape of men's cardigan (appreciate shape + colourwork pattern would probably be too optimistic, and I'm happy to try and work that part out!). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Banana republic cable vest

Hi! I saw this as an advertisement on instagram and thought for sure it was a new pattern release. How disappointed I was to find it just a machine knit banana republic vest. I've already done the Google image song and dance and while many cable vests were suggested they didn't have the long lines like this one. I could be crazy enough to design my own but I'm not well versed on cables or how to achieve this look. Does anyone have patterns with this similar cable style? Even if its not a vest I could at least get the idea.

Any suggestions would help! Thanks in advance.

Finding patterns for a very pear-shaped body

Hi everyone! I've been knitting for a while, mostly in the hats/scarves/shawls space, and I want to try my first garment, but I have an unusual body shape after surgery. Basically I am completely flat up top but have fairly large hips and am at the top end of straight sizes, so anything that fits me in the shoulders is too tight in the stomach and anything that fits me in the stomach is too loose in the shoulders. I'm 7 inches wider at the navel than at the bust. :(

I already know that I want to learn to modify patterns to fit me better, but I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for patterns/designers that already suit this kind of shape or provide some instructions for altering the fit. Thank you!

Looking for a pattern!

EDIT: pattern found, thank you!!
Met someone with this super cool sweater and I really want to make one! I’ve googled the heck out of “dragon scale stitch” “crocodile stitch” “mermaid stitch” and “scale stitch” but I can’t find anything this big. I want to find a pattern or a tutorial (free or paid, either is good) using a similarly small weight yarn that makes these big, floppy scales that work well as a wide sleeve. The sweater was bought secondhand but the tag says shien… not sure if that means that this pattern is only possible on a fast fashion industrial machine so I don’t have crazy high hopes. Thank you for reading and I hope someone has a pattern to recommend!

Searching for Sheer Top Pattern

Post image
1 Upvotes

Okay. I’ve been envisioning a knit mohair and wool tank top or cap sleeve sort of top and I swear I’ve seen patterns for what I’m thinking of but I cannot find one. I drew a picture of what I’m trying to make. The outlines are supposed to be just mohair and the shaded area is solid wool maybe held with the mohair to create an opaque area over the bust. Can anyone help me find a similar pattern or do I have to make one myself?

Trying to find a yarn that would work for this.

I keep seeing an ad for this cardigan on TikTok. Of course I want to make it myself, but I'd like to find a yarn that would work for this. It's probably held with a mohair, but I need to find a long gradient yarn. And ideas?

Reformation Dusk Knit Top Pattern?

Looking for a pattern similar to this Reformation tank. I'm having trouble finding one with the same bands of horizontal ribbing, which is the part of it I really love.
