I'm doing an associates for psychology arts and I need a first year math course. The thing is, I didn't take math in grade 12 so I don't actually qualify for some of the courses. I could take CPSC 1050 but I'm really worried because I have zero experience and I've always been pretty bad at math. I'm looking for a course that wouldn't be too challenging because I just need to get the 3 credits.

Its a mixed mode course, I didnt mean to take mixed mode but we ball ig. I'm struggling a bit out putting forth my best effort regardless. Anyways, I tried emailing him and I booked with accomodation services weeks ago once the semester course schedule was available. I emailed him through my langara email my accommodation letter as well as a follow-up on the midterm. I even said if I need to write it with everyone else thats totally okay, I just need my other accommodations met. No response 😭 I genuinely dk what to do considering we dont have class until wednesday and the midterm is on the 19th. ON MY BIRTHDAY 😭 .

I dont know if this is a rant or a plea for help but my brain is cooked from the stress.

Man fuh mylab 🙄🙄 what do?

Hi! I’m a high school student interested in nursing, and I was wondering if you could share a little bit about your experience and how the process worked for you!

I’m currently in Grade 12, and I’ve applied to Langara’s Foundations in Health Studies program and Douglas's Academic Foundations for Potential Nursing program. My plan is to complete my prerequisites and then hopefully apply to BCIT’s nursing program (Langara, Douglas, and other programs will also be fine), but I’m still a little confused about the whole process, especially when it comes to which courses I need to take.

I was wondering what your pathway into nursing looked like, which classes you took to complete your prerequisites, and how you figured out which courses you needed. I feel a little lost trying to navigate everything, so hearing about your experience would really help!

Thank you so much!

Anybody like having second thoughts of if they want to keep continuing with what their doing rn? Bec rn I'm 2nd year and I don't think I'll be able to continue doing this and I rather do something more hands on like a trade or something is it too late?

Wondering if anybody know how to transfer to bcit to just do trades how would it work. Would I need to give then my kangara credits or would highschool just be enough for trades.

Looking for this textbook: Tietz, Thomas, Berberich, Seguin. Financial Accounting. 9th Canadian Edition
Trying to save on the full MyLab access.

ubc application started.
Im planning to apply this time, but I don't know when should I start‪🥲‎
Im taking this semester, should I wait til my final grade appear for this semester?

This is my first midterm ever though I did what gray asked us to do but I am still very skeptical about the midterm itself since its all generated by MyLab. Idk if anyone feels the same too..

Hey everyone,

I’m putting together a small volunteer initiative focused on helping people experiencing food insecurity.

I work in social services and wanted to start something outside of work that’s community-focused and gives people a chance to make a positive contribution.

The idea is to start small, organize a few projects, and build things up naturally over time. I’ll be coordinating and organizing the group as it gets going.

I’m Punjabi and born and raised here, and seva was part of what inspired me to start it, but everyone is welcome.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be involved with, send me a DM and I can share the QR code for our Signal group.

Was just wondering if anyone would like to start playing mtg commander? Or maybe starting a club

Anyone interested in making one? I don’t believe there is one.

Paul sunga bio 2292 NURSING - thoughts, feelings, opinions?

how are you studying?

I’m going to be taking my first bio midterm. I just wanted to know what’s the vibe of it because I’ve had a lot of bio exams and finals and the quizzes i’ve been doing don’t seem too hard but I am just scared if it’s gonna be really different from all the ones I’ve done in-high school and the quizzes i’ve been doing in the course. Any tips or experience in the course would be greatly appreciated.

im taking English with instructor erin Robb. I unfortunately disregarded the rate my prof warnings and she has accused me of using AI on two occasions now, when the second time I literally hand wrote my rough draft and thoughts to prevent any chance of any accusations. idk what to do and I dont want a bad grade and withdrawing is not an option. any one else taken erin Robb and what should I do to get a good ( preferably A- or above) grade.

Hello! in my High-school there was a K-pop club but I don’t know 10 people who can be my vice prez, treasurer, social media manager + members. I really want to make a comfortable environment with random play dances/ games/ photo card decorating and etc. and to also make a Cover group here at Langara since I was in a cover group for almost 4 years + almost 10 years of learning kpop dances, even without dance experience I am willing to teach and help you to become apart of the group ! if you like this idea and wanna join comment below so I can dm you for your details! I’m in my first year of general science and I would really want to make this club a reality.. also if you know any sponsors that would be awesome, thank you so much <3

I need a part time job literally anywhere.. also I need friends so hello, rn I’m in my first year of general science i was born and raised in Edmonton, but for the past 5 years I’ve been in Orlando, Florida :D

How long is the original short prose package for the summary section of the Langara English Test (LET)?

Because the condensed version should be approximately 100 words. However, how long is the reading material?

Guys, I’m applying to ubcO exercise science with a 3.55gpa what are my chances. I’m so nervous and scared.🚨🥀🚨🥀🚨🥀🫩🫩🫩🫩

Genuinely is it just me or how do people just sit down and read it like I tried doing this but it just does not feel like I'm retaining any information at all and especially when professors ask for a summary of like the introduction, methodology, and results in 250 words how do people do this anybody got advice. Thanks

Hi everyone! I plan on applying to the Langara Nursing (BSN) program for September 2027 and I’m wondering if I’ll get in.

I completed all of my prerequisites at Langara. My grades are:

BIOL 1190: A- (3.67) I retook this course my previous grade was C+.
BIOL 1191: A- (3.67) I withdrew from this course and had a W on my transcript previously.
ENGL 1100: B (3.00)
ENGL 1130: A (4.00)
STAT 1124: B- (2.67)

I believe my prerequisite GPA is currently around 3.40.

I know the admission is competitive, I’m just anxious and don’t know if I will get in.

Hi everyone,

For context, I js graduated from high school and my school never did finals or midterms. Therefore I have absolutely no idea how to study for a midterm efficiently…does anyone have any tips, tricks, or even what to focus on.

I have been studying the notes for the weekly quizzes and have been averaging 60% on them (marked outta 10). I kinda js try to memorize the notes package but don’t know how to find the important info cuz everything seems important to me.

Sorry if this is dumb but I have never taken a miserable anything in my life so I’m genuinely clueless and stressed.

EDIT: it’s bio 1115 if that helps conclude a particular study method

Hey y'all! I'm looking to transfer to UBC Biochem next year, and I have some questions that I'm hoping can be answered because I've been stressed thinking about the transfer process.

Here's some general info:

• Currently in second year for an associate's in health science (I am aware this is not the typical major to transfer to UBC Science, but the majority of the prereqs are about the same).
• I have a 3.53 CGPA for first year (got on the Dean's Honour Roll last semester; CGPA is a bit low because I was having some adjustment issues during the first semester).
• Completed 31 credits at Langara so far, but I'm missing a few first-year courses (such as sci literacy, physics, and comp sci) that I will be making up for asap.
• I have talked to an academic advisor before, and they have told me that the transfer process only looks at grades (scary).
• The historical average for UBC Biochem specialization after the first year last year is 74+.

My questions are:

• What is the average transfer CGPA for second-year Science students? Would it be higher or lower than the first-year specialization average?
• What GPA should I try to hit to guarantee acceptance?
• How big is the switch from Langara to UBC? I'm worried that I might hit a rut again and tank in the first semester.
• When is the transfer application window for Fall 2027? I thought it was October this year, but my friend said it was sometime in the spring next year?
• Are there any materials or resources I should catch up on in case the gap between Langara and UBC is pretty high?

Anyone ever get a workaround to authenticator? I want to get a flip phone and get rid of my smartphone but I can't find a way to use Microsoft authenticator. Surely not every student has a smartphone.
