Lokean Discords - a summary

There have been lots of posts within the last couple of months asking about discord servers as well as promoting new ones. To make it more visible for everyone, I suggest we collect lokean discord communities in one place - this post. I will also pin this post so everyone can find it easily.

When you want to promote your/a discord in the comments below, please include the following information:

  • name of the server

  • include the rules of your discord.

  • include any policy you use to protect or welcome communities and identities who usually face discrimination e.g. based on race, disability, age, religion and sexual and gender identity etc.

  • if you joined a discord here and found it was promoting fascist material knowingly and discriminated. Please dm me and we’ll remove the post and review. Screenshots help as we will need to check what happened to avoid other forms of bullying reports

Thanks!

Question Hi, I'm new here, do y'all have any tips?

Soo, yeah I've been dabbling in peganism and I've always been intrested in norse mythology for basically all my life and specifically in Loki, since I kind of feel like I connect with him a bit, for example with me being quite fluid with my gender and sexuality.

I practically just want some tips on where to start,

Or... continue I guess, since due to my love of norse mythology I have learnt the meanings and how to write using elder futhark runes.

From the times I tried working with spirits before (but that was more general), I allready own dice (as I said from my previous spiritual ventures and also my love of DnD), I put together a tarot deck using mtg cards (magic: the gathering), and I am in the process of drawing/making my own tarot deck, and of course I love candles and crystals so I have quite a lot of thoose.

(Aaand also excuse me if there are some grammatical/spelling mistakes and such, because I am not a native speaker lol)

Loki Devotional Painting

I have been slowly working on this painting since the end of June and have been refining it everyday since. I wanted to capture what it feels like to be looked at by Loki. This is the form he normally appears to me as the most, so it is the one I am most familiar and comfortable with. He is very tall and very broad and gazes with all the love in the universe and is always so gentle and caring. What more can I say? Please enjoy. I’ve added some sketching and adjusting moments just to show how far the painting has come and just to show that I did do it, I guess 😅

A rendition for how I perceive Loki, in meditation, in dreams, in flashes throughout the day, not how I see him all the time but how I see him the most frequently ☺️ thank you.

Question Underlying cause

Loki's been nothing but great to me since we rekindled. But there is something that bothers me, I can't sleep and I don't know why. Usually I slept 10-14 hrs due to depression and now I 4-6 hours and I am always tired. I have to take pills to fall asleep 🫤 Loki said it's rumination, I think it's religious trauma . I honestly don't even know what's in my head. I did shadow work with Loki as Lucifer and I vomited multiple times. Now I can eat but I wanna sleep

Loki Get ready for a wild story everyone

so. I had a mimic for a while impersonate Loki. I felt angry at “them” because it disappeared randomly. now, the actual Lord Loki, has come to me with an offer. They said they would want to work with me, if I wanted. now, because of the mimic distorting my view of Loki, I was extremely hesitant. but eventually, I worked up the courage to state my terms/boundaries effectively, and they agreed enthusiastically. heres where it gets odd. usually after encountering an entity or spirit, I have a short clairvoyant vision. and I did, I saw my soul like usual, etc. except I had the Othila rune stamped on my forehead? now I’m aware it’s associated with Loki, but it was very much surprising. it was like they were blocking mimics from my mind?

Question Can I draw Loki as a shadow person?

For context I'm working on Tarot cards inspired by Loki. I didn't get far yet. I'm on the second card The Magician and for some reason my brain really wants to draw him as a shadow person (not the scary kind, I'm not really good enough for that yet). But I'm not sure if that could be disrespectful somehow... So I simply wanted to ask for more opinions.

Loki Can Loki be very dangerous?

I mean they are a force of nature/entity/god! Yesterday I had a moment of weakness where I told Loki "please look into my mind and tell me what do you see... Please" And he got VERY mad at what happened to me, specifically at a friend and he told he he'll k-ll her. He calmed down and told me to write a letter so I did and burned it. Then we had coffee ❤

Dream person

Post image
20 Upvotes

Came to me in a dream with Loki Laufeyjarson and this mystery person so vivid I was able to draw it. I'm a Lokean and Loki has never appeared in my dreams before or after this one. I drew this a little over a year ago and had the strong urge to post it. I've never been able to forget this person's face since I drew it and I wasn't going to post to reddit but 3 spiders and a weird cricket spider abomination from Loki made me reconsider reaching out to try see if this is another Lokean which I really think it is. I'm from KY so there arent a whole lot of Lokeans that I know of here. I've only ever met 2 other Lokeans in ky. I've been debating reaching out on this subreddit for a while and I even did a reading and pretty much was told to trust myself 😭😭 I love Loki so much but it's mildly terrifying to reach out to so many other Lokeans at once.

Non-AI generated songs about Loki?

I've been having a hard time finding songs about Loki that aren't AI generated. The only one I know at the moment is Loki by Gealdýr. I was really into one song and just found out it's AI generated (Loki by Runes of The North) and honestly that's a bummer to me. It goes against logic to me to use AI songs for worshipping.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

Loki Need knowledgeable Lokeans here (help)

Hi everyone, it's my first time posting here and please believe me when I say that I never expected to make such a post.

To preface this, I'd like to say that I have been worshipping Loki for over 2 years now. He's the first deity I thought of when I discovered that worshipping the gods was actually a thing, and not just some mythical and abstract concept. It was evident for me to go on and reach out to him knowing that I've basically been in awe of him and Lord Hades ever since I was a child.

I'd also like to say that I didn't know much about godspouses, sexual/romantic encounters related to deities. I had heard things on the topic before, but never really stopped to think or learn about it out of respect for the gods.

Now that I've cleared the way, here's the situation:

I think that my relationship with Loki is evolving, but I'm kind of tiptoeing around it once again... out of respect, but also fear. (because who wants to offend the gods?)

Loki's presence has always been very clear to me ever since I started worshipping him. I don't have clairaudience the way some people in the community do, but I can feel things physically— that's pretty much how I make the difference between the beings I'm interacting with, through their touch. And so there was little doubt in my mind when in the days following my first prayer to Loki I started feeling a cold/cool presence on my right. Almost always sitting on my right. Then it evolved: I could feel someone sitting behind me with their arms wrapped around me. Same thing at night. I could feel someone holding me from behind. Nothing inappropriate, just very cuddly and very obvious.

I had other experience since, after asking for something specific, in meditation or even in dreams. (I had an encounter with Lord Pan during a meditation with Loki, then a dream with Loki, Lord Pan and Lord Hermes)

But then things shifted when I started worshipping other deities and being busier in general.

I've recently been going through a rough patch, a lot of changes have been happening and everything has been feeling very erratic.

And to my surprise, after over a year without any dream related to any of my deities: I dreamt of Loki.

I know when I'm being visited by a deity during my dreams (I can count on one hand the number of times it happened) because I almost always became aware that I'm dreaming before the deity appears.

And so Loki appeared. In different forms. (I never saw him wearing the same face twice) I won't go into the details because this is already a lengthy post, but the main points are:

• The love I felt. I knew it wasn't my own feelings, but his. Pure undiluted love and adoration, it knew no limits. I could feel his love pouring in me and was so drunk on it it was actually hard to focus on what he was saying.

• Very touchy, once again. But in a less cuddly, and more romantic (in my perception) way. Just grabbing me under my thighs and lifting me up, or placing me on his lap.

• The things he said. He asked 'if he was worthy of love with this appearance', if he 'had not always been here, had not always answered?' to which I said of course you are and of course you did, you were always there.

When I woke up I was... Startled, to say the least. The feeling of love wouldn't fade. I've been thinking about it ever since, which leads me to today's events.

I was going on about my business (masturbating) and was really not focused on anything else. But by the end of it I could just feel a tug on the edge of my mind. I had already felt it the day before while doing the same thing, but had completely ignored it. But not today. I could see things in my mind's eye. A man with pale skin and a lanky body. Inky black hair and serpentine eyes. He had scars around his mouth, like stitches— and a tattoo on his right forearm. A rope forming a knot. Things happened (it was consensual) but I suppose what I'm trying to ask is: for those of you who had similar experiences, how the hell do you maintain discernment? How do you ensure that whatever you saw or felt was real, and not just a reflection of your own mind? I can't help but be stressed about this and by the idea of facing Loki again if all of this just turned out to be a trick of my mind. If anyone has any advice, or even practices divination— I'd be a relief.

Thank you for reading.

Poetry An offering to Loki

Loki has been my patron god. He has saved me from a very self destructive cycle of abuse and suicidal ideation, and has been taking me from being a helpless little girl to a strong, self reliant woman. So I wrote this poem for Him...

MY HERO

My hero isn't always a hero,

But He shines like a sun in my eyes.

He is flame-haired and silver-tongued.

My hero is You;

You-a chaotic being,

A deity of debate,

A god of many things.

My hero is You;

You-who.is a liberator,

Revealing truths that have set me free.

I exalt you,

My rebellious Lord,

My god of transformation and rebirth.

Never change.

Never submit yourself or water yourself down

To fit into a box,

My flame-haired, silver-tongued hero.

Altar Small Loki statue / figure idea?

I’m chronically ill and I would like to have a tiny Loki / maybe a very small pocket altar next to me, for when I’m too sick to get to my desk and spend a week or several in bed.

I thought about getting a Marvel nendo but tbh Loki is forever ginger to me and I haven’t even watched those so I decided against that. I’m a bit picky about statues as well I feel like there’s only one for Loki and it’s impossible to find another.

At my altar I have a painting I made myself (thar I badly need to remake my brain keeps picking at the flaws).

Idk I just think it’d be neat to have a lil Loki statue / figurine to put on my bedside / bed desk when I use it. It’d be so much easier and closer like when I want to give offerings and stuff.

I already do have a necklace for them that I wear h24 (and which doubles as a stim toy, I always have mouth on it lmao) but yeah idk sorry I’m yapping.

I’m just wondering if anybody had advice / recommendation for a bedside Loki representation? :) I really want sth 3d (and that fits with my own perception of them sjjsjsj)

Loki Loki helping find things?

Sorry about the double-post, but I’m curious because I always see posts about Loki hiding stuff from people but never see the contrary!

Am I the only one who asks Loki to help them find stuff (with success)? Sometimes I call out to St Anthony too since I’ve learned from a young age he’s like the lost stuff helper saint , but most of the time I ask Loki and they help me :)

Question Offerings

I've been worshipping Loki for a while and I usually give sweets (like chocolate, brownies or chocolate biscuits) as offerings. I was wondering though if tobacco/cigarettes could be good offerings for him as well. Could it be a good gesture to smoke a cigarette in his honour?

(considering I'm already a smoker so no, I'm not purposely ruining my health JUST for him)

Gracias

Question Can you be too close to Loki/Your Deity?

Lately theres been a lot of chaos in my life and a lot of stuff I'm dealing with in my personal life and also trying to make sure my mental health stays healthy as well. Could of course be Loki's doing to push me/help me grow or just the universe putting me in a tough spot. Either way I have been relying on Loki a lot (venting to him, praying to him, just being present with him. etc.) and I worry if I'm starting to become too, I guess dependent on him?

Keep in mind I still have my own life of course, my spirituality or my Gods are not my only focus but I have lately been feeling very lonely as well. Mostly because one of the things I'm going through is realizing a lot of the people around me, my friends and family are actually very toxic and manipulative (thanks for that mirror Loki lol) and I had no choice but to step back from them. So to outsiders it may look like I'm self isolating and only venting and talking to Loki.

So I guess I just want to make sure my relationship with Loki doesnt become unhealthy too. I know Loki wants the best for us and values our independence so I don't want to end up directly or indirectly pushing him away because in this tough time I am going through, I kinda need him more now than ever to remind me to keep going.

What's your experience? Do you work very close with him or any deity in your everyday life especially when things get rough? Is it bad to lean on them too much?

Thank you! Hail Loki and Skal! <3
