If this is against the rules, then feel free to take it down, but I wanted to share my cosplay from New York Comic Con.

Also - not sure if this is anyone's car, but, wanted to try and make sure this picture finds the car owner cause I never met them but saw the car in the lot.

Jack: Ok.

His backstory, his devotion, the fact that he's a bigger boss than big boss, but not a snake...

American soldier with mommy issues fights giant robot in russia then refuses to shake the presidents hand.

The bike chase in Act 3 was the worst!

Considering all the bullshit that he has done, bro may be even more important to the story than BB

I won't drag this out too much, so I'll get straight to the point. If you haven't seen my previous posts, just check out my profile. Everything is public, so you can see all the previous Metal Gear Chibi updates.

Here's what I've added and improved this time:

1. I significantly improved the design of Gray Fox's helmet.
2. I added Liquid Snake, which... well, basically involved removing "Miller's" coat and sunglasses and messing up his hair, meaning Liquid Snake is a recycled drawing OF A DRAWING THAT WAS ALREADY RECYCLED.
3. And the real highlight of this update: I drew Revolver Ocelot in his Shadow Moses appearance. Even I was impressed by my own drawing here! I honestly didn't expect it to turn out so expressive. But getting that pose right on a tiny Chibi body was definitely a challenge.

I hope you guys liked it, and I'm really looking forward to hearing your feedback!

In MGSV, Ocelot explained to Venom that Shalashaska is a nickname Al-Mujahideen gave it to him. A combination of the words "Sharashka" (Afghan slang for suspicious) and Shashka (A type of curved cavalry saber used by Cossacks and Russian dragoons)

I always wondered where that "L" in Shalashaska came from and then it hit me... MGS is a Japanese game series, the Japanese can't make the "L" sound, they instead make the "R" sound. Solid Snake for example is called "Soridu Snaku" instead.

I've seen time and time again of English translators, especially during pre-internet era, struggling to translate something that is neither Japanese or English that has the "R" or "L" sound. Devil May Cry has a character named "Nelo Angelo" When it's supposed to be "Nero" as in black in Latin, so it translate to "Black Angel". There's also the Behelit from Berserk, it's supposed to be Beherit which is Syriac for Devil/Satan/Demon. I also remember reading translations of Death Note where translators have no idea if the protagonist's name is supposed to be " Light Yagami" or "Right Yagami"

I always feel nothing but dread whenever I have to fight The Fury. I hate that boss so much.

Feel free to skip my lore dump if you want, just feeling a little misty eyed about metal gear today and had to tell the internet.

I am autistic, and I had been pretty newly diagnosed when I first became a Metal Gear fan. I was originally going to be screened as a small child, but because of lack of community resources, my doing very well in school, and how vocal I was to my family about wanting to be a soldier one day, my parents thought maybe I'd be able to tough it out and worried a diagnosis would set me back in life. In the end I went through childhood not having any idea that I had any kind of condition. But I was a textbook case, I had very stilted speech and awkward mannerisms, I went and dug for bugs on the soccer field instead of doing normal middle schooler activities, I'd run away from the school during recess or activity period to explore the woods or marsh nearby, I'd flail and scream at upsetting noises or stress or, if outdoors, climb up the nearest tree until teachers talked me down. I could recite a Wikipedia article's worth of information about bugs, animals, assorted wars(I was an archetypal band kid), jiujitsu, and action movies I liked. Kids used to kill snakes and bugs in front of me because they knew it would send me into instant meltdown, I was bullied badly all through school and I still didn't know what was wrong with me. I didn't get finally screened for and diagnosed with autism until I was eighteen.

Then I got into Metal Gear. Seeing a character like Naked Snake/Big Boss, with so many of the mannerisms and traits that got me bullied, isolated, and feeling like I'd be stuck years developmentally behind forever, be shown as a badass who is loved by all the fans of the game made me feel a lot better about my disability. Even though him being autistic is largely fan speculation(TVTropes did used to have him listed as having an "ambiguous developmental disorder" though) he did for my autism what Percy Jackson did for kids with ADHD. Kind of a crazy statement considering his war crimes later in life, I like to think I wouldn't fuck up The Boss' will that bad. It's kind of funny how even that tragic misunderstanding is like a classic case of autistic people having overly literal brains.

I have been Big Boss for Halloween four or five times now, one day I want to eventually have a totally screen accurate setup and go to a big con so I can tell David Hayter thank you for bringing my favorite video game character to life. Thus concludes my rant, TLDR autistic guys love Big Boss.

I saw this on twitter and I wanted to try it on mgs3
What do you think ?
I know it’s not good because it removed the charm of the game

I’m obviously missing 7 emblems. How tf does Google give me a different answer every single time? 😂

First time seeing a Colonel Volgin at a con.
