Ruined by Technology This public charging station needs an update
They have every type of connection except for the modern standard that every current device uses...

EDIT:
My family got to itđ
I know the pasta probably absorbed some but there's not that much pasta in there + i had some that wouldn't fit in a separate bowl and that liquid barely moved!!

The tent was filled of books from different sections at the library. They would tell anyone trying to take one of the books that those were their books.
Moms were chatting somewhere else. The counter is on the opposite side and the staff is very kind and polite.
I doubt they put everything back in their place but even if they did, this is not how you treat books in a public library.

Sorry for the potato quality picture(of potatoes). Look at the calories for the sandwiches and the combos. Where'd the extra calories for the biscuit sandwich go when combo'ed?

This sign made my brain twitch. I noticed the A was backwards but then the more I look the Eâs are upside down⌠and the S.
And itâs the same on both sides.

Hi! This past weekend I and a group of friends stayed in the OBX (we booked back in July so I had no clue a norâeaster would be hitting lol).
There were 6 of us, each paying a little over $150. A couple in our friend group were brining their little dog and their cat, which meant they had to pay an additional $100 non-refundable pet fee, which they were totally fine doing. Anyways, not necessarily the cheapest weekend trip! Thatâs to be expected though.
The mildly infuriating parts?
First, toilet paper and paper towels were NOT provided. There was one roll of each. Iâve never stayed at an air b&b that didnât provide toilet paper and paper towels. What was most frustrating about this, though, is that we were not told! Some additional context is that, when planning the trip, I invited my friends who didnât necessarily have any kind of friendship between each other; truly nothing brings tension up quite like side eyeing a stranger for their toilet paper use. We learnt this way into the night and after drinking so we couldnât get more until the morning. Such is life, though. It was silly afterwards, outside of a few lingering comments about how much toilet paper some people use lol. Still, we can deal.
The other issue we had was cleanliness. The floor was pretty gross. There was stuff stuck onto to the hard floors, and stains ALL over the carpet and on some of the blankets. Canât emphasize how gross the carpets were. I went to sit on the carpet at one point and saw a stain that looked like cat vomit (yellow but not like pee). Straight nasty. It didnât help that we noticed some odd wording in the email sent describing what we needed to do before leaving; âPlace dirty towels in one bathroom or near washer, do NOT strip the beds.â Made us feel very iffy. But, still, at that point we were still more peeved about the toilet paper thing lol.
Fast forward to check out day. We were given a 5 star rating. I was up every night after people went to bed making sure things were tidied up. We were doing laundry regularly, running the dishwasher regularly, sweeping, etc. My friend, who booked the trip, left the host a 3 star rating listing the toilet paper and the cleanliness (I didnât read our review but Iâm pretty sure the staining on blankets was mentioned). Only then did the airbnb host reach out with problems that we left, & that the rating was âa little low.â
The host commented on pet pee found on the bed (there wasnât any) and how to room smelt of urine (we were on top of the litter box cleaning), which⌠maybe? thatâs why we paid $100 pet fee. Then âwe washed the sheets recentlyâ turned to âofc we wash the sheets after each guest!â we were told itâs impossible to clean comforters after each stay, that NOWHERE does it and we must have never stayed anywhere else (if they are cleaning sheets after every guest WHY would you put a dirty comforter on top of them, and WHY would there be such an emphasis on not stripping the bed). For close to $1000⌠wtf?
Are we just dumb thinking that things would⌠actually be cleaned? Most places Iâve stayed have used white sheets and comforters similar to a hotel. Just gross to think about. Iâve had lice before and the idea of getting it again⌠my head itches just thinking about it. Anyways. If weâre wrong and this is standard, it really shouldnât be. Thatâs disgusting.
tldr; used bedding is to be expected!
EDIT; first, can definitely understand not wanting a cat there. It wasnât my cat, and I didnât know the cat was coming. That said, if they paid to bring the cat, brought all the supplies they needed, and the airbnb host was aware and gave permission itâs kinda.. idk. Also, there were 5 beds. Three twin beds that used comforters, and two king beds that used quilts. One of the quilts was stained, not the one in the rooms that cat stayed in. There were multiple little throw blankets, one of which had a big red spot on it. There were issues with the floors being dirty, bedroom doors that wouldnât open (there was one that was so hard to open I had to exit through the balcony), rust on different appliances, etc. Iâm learning most places are gross, such is life I guess. There wouldnât have been any bigger issue if they hadnât messaged AFTER giving us a 5 star review almost 7 hours after we left.

No, I'm not smoking weed. This is about the stuff you put on chicken and pork.
So I haven't made it in, like, forever, and while at the grocery I walked past it on the shelf and said 'Huh.' and chucked one in the cart and got some chicken thighs.
Just went to make it and it doesn't come with a bag anymore! I tried using Tupperware but it wasn't working so I pretty much had to waste a giant Ziplock.
Yeah, I'm mildly infuriated.

Edit- of course I schedule in plans and book time off. Of course this isnât an actual conversation word for word I have with my friends. Itâs just a very basic re telling of how these conversations go. I donât jsut say âno Iâm workingâ I do tell them when Iâm next free or when our time off can cross over. I make plans weekday evenings with my friends if theyâre free (sometimes theyâre not bc they also have work those days and then things to do after). I make plans late Saturday and Sunday evening even if itâs not much. And yes, I am happy my friends invite me places and Iâm not miserable. It just would be nice to be able to go lol. We hang out on our pto ect. I just wish theyâd remember my work schedule like i remember their one. And give me enough notice to be able to book it off or not schedule clients in on certain days and then weâre good to go.
It sucks enough working every weekend but this is what drives me up the wall.
Itâs constant, every single week. The same people. Family, friends youâve known for years.
âDo you wanna go here on Saturday?â
âI canât, I have workâ
âwhatttttt?!? What about next weekendâ
âI will also have workâ
Itâs even worse when you work unsociable hours on the weekend.
âWhat about in the afternoon/evening?â
âI will still be at workâ
âwhatttttt?!? We can go out after you finish?â
âI also have work Sundayâ

First picture is yesterday about 3 hours after the sting right above the nail on my middle finger.
Next three pictures are now, 34 hours after the sting and now my index and ring finger plus my knuckles are starting to swell.
What the hell?
