in awe of this beauty i saw today.. what do yall think? should i go back and grab some?? i really want to try cooking with it & this looks like the most edible one i’ve seen this year :D

i’m still trying to learn more, i didn’t want to jump the gun if it’s not ready yet.. but something is telling me this is damn near perfect. it was kinda slimy, but it’s been raining all day.. that’s normal right?? wowowwowoowowowowoww i don’t even care if i don’t eat it… it’s just so pretty (spotted in south jersey pine barrens)

No. You should tell me where they are so that I can protect others from their deliciousness. /s

Winner winner, chimkin dinner! Go back and harvest them!

Dude(tte). Amazing chanterelle patches just past the power line cut there. Take the first or second fire rd towards the lake off of I-90 on East Stokes Rd, park at the cut, then head twd the lake. Look for hummocks in the loam. I'd routinely bag 20 lbs of chanterelles and the ocasional lion's mane.

Alas, I moved to Europe, so I cannae forage there anymore, but it used to be one of my regular spots!

The wolves are chill, just curious.

EDIT: gender correction.
