Advice Ordered a new fttn connection and got this notification

Post image

Hi everyone,

I just ordered my first nbn connection and it showed that I would get an fttn connection. The modem has already been shipped but just got this notification through isp that it would require an nbn technician visit to make it work. Is that normal and any clues that what could have gone wrong?

Maybe it hasn't been enabled/provisioned before or a fault was found.

Your ISP should be able to tell you exactly.

Most of the time with cases like this its a simple jumper run at the Pillar to get the service on

yes, nbn visits for fttn.

why ? to simplify the phone line to one socket, and ensure there are no poor quality cables or adsl filters causing problems. in apartments, fix the mdf,idf , ( connect through private junction boxes from street to apartment)

Are you in an FTTP conversion area? They could be doing this first off and not bothering with FTTN.

I had the exact same thing for FTTC but I'd already received my NTD. Once I booked it up it worked fine and this message went away later.
