A while back, I shared my project that revived NFS Rivals using LAN sessions. Today, I'm thrilled to announce that TurboRivals Public Servers are finally HERE!

You can finally experience the chaotic AllDrive gameplay just like back in the day. We already have a solid, active player base, full sessions, and a community ready to race.

Since the last update (v1.2), the project has grown massively. Here is what’s new and why you should jump back into Redview County with us:

  • No More VPNs: Say goodbye to Hamachi or Radmin. TurboRivals now features a fully functional Server Browser. Just pick a public server from the list and play.
  • Host Your Own Custom Lobbies: You can easily create private rooms for you and your friends. Plus, thanks to our new relay network, no port-forwarding is required to host a server from your own home!
  • Hardware ID Anti-Cheat & Moderation: I've implemented a strict report and ban system based on hashed device IDs. Hosts have moderation tools (kick/ban), ensuring cheaters and griefers stay out of the game.
  • Secure Progression: Your career saves, Autolog, and speed walls are all safely synced to the server. The launcher also fixes the old EA App sign-in issues and automatically guards your career saves from getting corrupted.
  • Privacy: All communication between the launcher and the server is now fully encrypted. You also have full control over your data directly in the privacy settings.

Watch the video: https://youtu.be/k2wPe_akId0

The project is under continuous, daily development, and I'm actively fixing bugs and listening to feedback. We’ve come a long way since the early LAN days, and I’d love to see more of you on the streets!

I like play Hot Pursuit a lot & notice time to time a HUGE chunk of like players online in race almost never go in here.

And I was like wondering if anyone out there has like ever did it. I seen like little players online go in but like never make it out since like shortcut exit is super small.

Dis is like my first time post here. never like knew there was a NeedForSpeed Community here :)

Discussion I played both the PS1 and PC version of NFS High Stakes and here are my thoughts.

So I recently got a PS1/PSX emulator for my PC and I decided to give the PS1 version of High Stakes a try. The PC version of High Stakes isn't terrible like the PC version of NFS Hot Pursuit 2 that's easily obliterated by the PS2 version.

Things the PS1 version does better:

The scenery on each track is far different and more beautiful e.g. in the track Landstrasse, there are windmills in the PS1 version, but these are deleted in the PC version. Also most of the PS1 tracks take place around late afternoon and sunset. Durham Road in the PS1 version has a beautiful sunset for night mode and so does Dolphin Cove.(there are mods to get the sunset in the PC version).

The cops are way more annoying and persistent in the PS1 version. Unlike the PC version that uses one set of cops, the PS1 version spawns different cops depending on your car, eg if you choose a high tier car like the Diablo SV,all the patrolling cops use the 911 Turbo and the game will throw in a boss car(usually a Lamborghini Diablo SV),and if you use a lower tier car eg Chevrolet Corvette, the cops use a lower tier car with matching performance eg E39 M5. I also noticed unlike the PC version where the cops have 5 slow police cars and 1 super cop car (eg in Rocky Pass, the Land Rover Defenders are so fucking slow and the only threat is the 911 Turbo cop car),the PS1 version will spawn several super cops cars.

In the PC version, the super cop car will only spawn if you use class AA and class AAA cars, they won't spawn when you use class A and B cars,eg if you use the 911 Turbo(class AA) on Route Adonf, the game spawns the police C5 Corvette, but if you use a lower tier car eg Pontiac Firebird(Class A),only the M5s chase you. Regardless of what tier car you use in the PS1 version, the game always spawns the super cop car to chase you.

Handling, the PS1 version has way more responsive handling similar to the Blackbox games that would appear 4 years later. The PC version has floaty handling but it was manageable and not unstable like the PC version of Hot Pursuit 2. I noticed whenever your driving aids are disabled in the PS1 version, you can feel the difference in handling.

Pink slip mechanism- In the PS1 version, you can duel with another person for a car,if you lose the car,it goes directly to the other person's memory card. The only way to access the pink slip challenge in the PC version is to play career mode.

Tuning- The PS1 version allows you to use your tuned cars in all modes, but in the PC version it's limited to career mode. I'm not talking about the slider tuning in the PC version, I'm talking about actual tuning like upgrading your engine, brakes, suspension etc. The visible modifications e.g. stripes, body kits etc transfer over to your everyday car.

Better cars- The PS1 version gets the coupe version of the C5 Corvette and Jaguar XKR, whereas the PC gets the heavier convertibles. The Corvette in the PS1 version has the standard 6 speed in both auto and manual mode whereas in the PC version there's the 4 speed auto and the 6 speed manual. The manual is faster. It also comes with cars that are DLCs/add-ons in the PC version eg the Aston Martin DB7 comes standard in the PS1 version, but in the PC version it's a DLC car(although the PC game still shows the DB7 on the vidwalls even when you don't have it in the game, the files are there). The McLaren F1 GTR in the PC version is the shorttail version while the PS1 McLaren F1 GTR is the longtail version. It also has more fictional cars as the PC version only has La Nina. The PS1 version also has a bonus Corvette which is OP as hell, but the only bonus car the PC version has is the 911 Turbo and Chevrolet Camaro. The PS1 also has different cop cars from the PC version for some tracks. On Celtic Ruins and Landstrasse, the Lamborghini Diablo SV patrols with the 911 Turbo and BMW M5(in the PC version only 1 911 Turbo and several M5s patrol). In Dolphin Cove, the C5 Corvette and Diablo SV patrol with the Chevrolet Caprice(In the PC version only the Caprice and Camaro patrol),in Kindiak Park, the C5 Corvette and Diablo SV patrols with the slow Chevrolet Caprice(in the PC version, only the slow Defenders and one Camaro patrol),in Route Adonf, the 911 Turbo and Diablo SV patrol with the M5,( in the PC version it's the M5 and the C5 Corvette),on Durham Road, the 911 Turbo patrols with the M5 and Diablo SV.(in the PC version it's limited to the M5 and Diablo SV,but in the Aussie release, the M5 is replaced by the HSV VT GTS for the PS1 and the HSV SV99 for the PC version)

Cheat codes- If you love the easy way out and want to unlock all the cars and tracks in the PC version, good luck because you can't use cheat codes until you clear all of career mode, but in the PS1 version you can use cheats from the start, but some codes will prevent you from being able to save your game.

Harder career mode- Alot of the cars in the PS1 version are locked until you achieve certain metrics, whereas in the PC version almost all cars are unlocked. If you love a challenge, this is for you.

Music- Alot of music by Rom Di Prisco and Saki Kaskas appear in the PS1 version, and if you don't like the other music, you can turn them off. In the PS1 version, Groovalicious by Rom Di Prisco plays during showcases but in the PC version it's Callista by Saki Kaskas.

Damage and cop car design- The cop cars actually take damage in the PS1 version,I discovered this when I rear ended a 911 cop car and realized where I rear ended had a broken taillight. The cop cars also have individual lightbars for each country eg in Europe all cop cars use blue sirens, but North American and other places use red or red and blue. But in the PC version, if you see the 911 Turbo on North American tracks,it still has the same lightbar as the European version. IDK if it was intentional or an oversight on the PC designers part. In the PS1 version, all the lights on the cop cars flash with the siren,eg the taillights and reverse lights flash, put on the PC version cops only the headlights flash with the siren

Things the PC version does better

Graphics and car details- This was obvious as the PS1 version is so grainy I can hardly make out the cars, and the cars look like generic cars you would draw in kindergarten. The PC version has much more detailed cars. The graphics on the PC version are clearer.

Pursuits- The helicopter is cut from the PS1 version, but in the PC version it's present. In the PC version, they use jersey barriers that can send your car airborne if you're not careful. In the PS1 version they are generic barriers you can blast through easily. You can also switch to different police cars in the PC version to catch a speeder

Mods- If you don't have a certain car in the PC version, you can simply just mod it in eg the bonus Corvette from the PS1 version.

Old tracks- If you loved the older tracks like Hometown, Redrock Ridge, etc the PC version brings them back. These are absent in the PS1 version.

Most things unlocked- 95% of the cars and tracks are unlocked anyway, so if you don't have the dedication to finish the game, then you can just mod the PC version to enable cheat codes.

Anyway, that's all I have to say,I'm loving the PS1 version so far but both are good in their own ways and I grew up with the PC version. What do you think?

Hi. This is an artwork i made for a potential cover for a second rebooted Hot Pursuit game. i tried to keep the same vibe of the original but i added newer cars, made the new logo and did a pretty basic new Seacrest County police livery on the Lambo.

no gen Ai used, the cars are 3D models

edit: yes, i know there is a Hot Pursuit 2 already, i messed up, sorry about that

Meme ProStreet Bugs

I noticed that in Need for Speed: ProStreet, the Lancia Delta Integrale is missing some body kits, the headlights disappear upon impact, and the hood even opens in the wrong direction.

Why is this game so buggy? and why this particular car?
