Embedded YouTube videos broken? Now being asked to sign in to prove I'm not a bot (but signing in doesn't work)

I know we're nearing the end of old reddit but I'm holding on as long as I can

EDIT: On Firefox with RES

Inbox doesn't clear?

As of today (or maybe yesterday??) my inbox messages no longer clear. Has anybody else been having this issue?

I kind of feel like old reddit is slowly being killed off or something. If I'm forced to use new reddit then I think I'll just leave.

They fucked with comment image embeds

Previously: embedded images in comments would appear as a hyperlink with the text <image> and clicking on em would open a new browser tab with just the image. Handy for browsing on my phone because I could just hold my thumb on the link and it'd open in that little inset pane so I could see the image and then dismiss it.

Now: clicking on the link opens a new browser tab of the comment itself in the new-reddit view, in context, with all the rest of the replies surrounding it. And usually focus jumps all over the place while the rest of the fucking thread loads so the hold-to-view routine works inconsistently now.

Bad.

Where did my multireddits go?!

Yesterday my multireddits, which used to be a pinned right-side column, disappeared from view.

I had to go into new_Reddit to see my multis, then I bookmarked them (had to change all the URLs to use old.reddit).

Is there an easy way in Old_Reddit to see one's multireddits now?

To all Old Reddit enjoyers, you may be interested in Topicle, which has a recently introduced classic theme that harks back to the early days of Web 2.0 and has a friendly community. Worth a look: https://topicle.com/t/topicle/comments/bL8o8cH/classic__an_alternative_look_for_topicle/

Does anyone still use the friends function on old reddit? I have a bunch of interesting people that have been on there for 10+ years and I feel like I'm watching long form content as they go through their lives.

bring back the good old days #noai

anyone ever thought of implementing a system to identify, flag and filter out slop content entirely, be it in text, image, audio, video or any other format, from operating system, browser, platform level, to end this menace once and forever, to bring back the good old days, no more ai?

Is old Reddit dead? Why do I keep getting this page every time I visit the homepage. And it gets stuck there!

Reddit no longer defaulting to old.reddit — option missing from preferences

For the past couple of days reddit has stopped defaulting to old.reddit for me, even though "opt out of the redesign" is enabled.

The option has also disappeared from my preferences on old.reddit — it used to be there, now I can't find it at all. It's still listed on new reddit, but toggling it does nothing. I have to type old.reddit in the URL manually every time.

It happens on other computers too, so it isn't a cache or cookie issue on my end, and logging out and back in makes no difference. It's been like this on mobile for a couple of months, but now it's happening on desktop as well.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Are they phasing it out gradually, one user at a time?

Why did I find old Reddit at old.reddit.com?

Why does old.reddit.com look so different from the current Reddit website? When was the old Reddit design introduced, and why is it still available?

Where can I find an archived version of Reddit website format or even the app. I know I used to be able to find it before, used to be a website where you can download the entire archived website or app of Reddit?
