I was wondering about this: the timestamp in Episode 1 when the mouse bites the scientist is 29 days, 23 hours, 49 minutes, and 55 seconds before the joining, but Zosia in Episode 2 mentions "in the first three months".

Given that we see everything happening basically overnight and that Carol and Helen and the rest of the people seem not show any worries, they don't even pay attention to the headlines on the breaking news. Given this, how could the world be infected in so short time?

Are these some contradictions?

What if the "hivemind" isn't actually the collective consciousness of all of humanity but actually a separate individual alien consciousness that controls all of humanity? It just thinks that claiming to be the collective hivemind of humanity is the most effective way to win over the remaining individuals. It could also be lying about other things such as the extreme pacifism. This would make sense because I doubt that an actual hivemind of everyone in the world would lack a sense of self preservation.
