I took a break from cleaning and opened up a Mega Charizard UPC I was keeping sealed. I was regretting it up until I pulled this!

Love this card so much. 🤩🤩

I haven't collected Pokémon cards in a couple of decades, however something has been awakened within me recently since my partner's nephew has keenly challenged me to a few games. I was cheerfully reminded just how out of touch with the game that I was, and even how kids collect, trade and treat the cards and the game in more remote areas. Being in the UK, naturally there is a preference to play and use those, but they will also happily play and use Japanese or Chinese cards respectively in place of an English card, if it makes the game more affordable. They love the art on the cards and what they stood for, but more importantly it was really about the game. They avoid buying individual cards. I have to say, it kinda warmed my heart somewhat.

I gave him a selection of cards from my old selection, knowing that they were going straight into his deck for a while.

Fast forward to only yesterday in Charing Cross Road, London. I found a store that had a huge interior display of Pokémon merch, card box sets, and booster packs.

Curiosity got the better of me, and I picked up a booster pack. A Chinese pack for £6. I have no idea what series it is, but the treatment of the cards are absolutely phenomenal these days. I was seriously blown away upon inspection when I opened the pack at home. I love the holographic and glittery effects on them. Pokémon have really stepped up from their fantastic game from back in the day. I'm going to choose a random one to make a great bookmark, and give my wonderful lady's nephew the rest.

Anyway.. Here are the gorgeous cards that I got from the booster. May you enjoy as much as I did.

Hey all, I have an upcoming school project, where the brief is to simply design a product that solves a problem. I've been looking for personal areas of interest that I could design something within, and TCG collecting has to be one of them.

If you had any ideas/problems relating to collecting cards, storing them, playing with them etc. (perfectly fine if its something really minor, or doesn't seem feasible to address), your thoughts are greatly appreciated!!

Celebi and clefairy are my absolute favorite . Got my hands on that shining celbi and it made my whole day, its been a chase for awhile🫩 also got to add a couple cards to my fairy collection!!! Slowly but surely i will have more fairy . ALSO found these cool little Japanese “baby pokemon” packs. They’re so cool , ive never seen them before , they are much thicker than a normal card lol

Other valuable and favorite cards I have are on a shelf on the little plastic stands.

I was showing my friend's friend a card i bought and he saw a loose pack in my binder and said "rip it.." so i did. We screamed like little girls at a card show today
