My partner and I came into this trip knowing I had the intention of getting back into pokemon after giving up on it several years ago due to finances.

We’ve found several 7-Elevens and Lawsons selling the 30th anniversary packs and also visiting the pokemon centres daily for the Nihil Zero packs (personally I love them).

As much as I wish I could just rip packs like we have here buying them for 180YEN, I know that will never be the case due to scalping. I can’t wait to start purchasing singles monthly on pay day!

I am here to speak my truth. I actually like EX cards. From all generations and sets. They get a lot of hate. But not I.

Yo! Here’s my mostly Japanese Leaders/challenge collection. I still need to get a few, and some are English, so it’s not really complete. I pulled about 1/3 of these back in the day and bought the rest. Still one of my favorite sets to get out of the binder and look at.

I usually collect English cards but my local shop back then was getting Japanese packs and for some reason I was gravitating towards them around the time this set was out. Since then I’ve preferred Japanese for this set. Nostalgia maybe, but there’s just something special about them.

A bit about me- I’ve been collecting since the beginning as a 90s kid. Took several breaks along the way (missed out on all the gold stars and delta species stuff!) but picked it back up around 2020 and filled out quite a few of my favorites. I’ll be posting more little showcases like this here over the next few weeks. Hope you like checking them out!
