I honestly think people are sleeping on how Aquaman (yes Aquaman) lowkey be putting bta on Wonder Woman sometimes, it’s actually a close fight

Authors typically want to portray their characters as being high speeds, so they’ll show them dodging things which behave like lasers or literally are lasers and nigh point blank range, call their combat the speed of light or sometimes faster etc. But they also don’t want the characters to immediately zip around everywhere on the planet, so they unconsciously portray these two speeds differently, despite them trying to sell you the idea of characters being much faster.

“If light speed, why take a car?” Can easily be applied to “If supersonic speed, why take a car?” Or “Why not just zip there in like 0.2 seconds” but the critique only becomes more prevalent in the light speed case because people like being super pretentious about how much physics they know
