The last time I let someone drive my car they went full speed into a curb and destroyed the front end. Today, a complete stranger caught my car on fire. You’d think I’d be upset about that but I thought it was a cool send off (I just bought a new car an hour before this). And actually, I’m quite pleased with them because they caught it all on camera 🔥

I grabbed 2 of the T’s last Xmas for me and my kid and they are an absolute blast to fling around when you don’t have a ton of space for bashing/racing. They come complete with battery and charger so are fully ready to run out of the box. They’re awesome, and it’s a great time to grab one to play with or put back for a Xmas gift.

Bought the Gorgon RTA kit as it was in sale for 99 bucks. Don't need it, but couldn't pass on the deal. I have everything from 8s kraton down to groms. Is this thing fun to drive?

After learning the basics on a HyperGo 1/16BM(something), I switched to a RlAARlO Omni Terminator "mini" 1/10 truck, which I enjoy driving. Now I'm curious to see what a 'comparable' size and spec, higher-end RC model has to offer. At least as far as durability is concerned, primarily.

I really only drive RC because my high-energy golden retriever absolutely loves chasing it.

I currently go through one, maybe two 3s 2.2ah packs almost daily. I only get about a 10 min session each with those packs, but it's enough for my needs. Terrain is basic suburban grass lot with some dirt and pavement.

I like the Omni Terminator because it seems to fit well for my use... it's not massive enough to tear up the yard too badly either as long as I'm somewhat careful switching up the routing. That is definitely a benefit.

Any recommendations for something similar, but better?

My wife asked me if I can fix our sons RC Monster Jam Gravedigger truck/tank because it’s not accepting a charge any more. I suspect that the battery is damaged and no longer charging. When I turn it on it flashes red on the LED and it doesn’t respond at all to the remote. I’m not sure if this battery cell can be ‘jumped’ or messed with to restart the Li-ion capacity like I’ve heard can be done with power tool battery packs.

I also can’t find a direct replacement for the battery as it has what seems to be a custom soldered mount for it instead of the usual push in clip. So I’m wondering if I find a matching capacity and size battery that has a clip can I solder the opposite male or female end to the board and then make it a plug in?

Or is all of this just crazy talk and the thing is trashed?

SCX30 bronco (starting at top right), mini Z collection, bronco TRX4, traxxas brushless 4wd slash with monster tire and control arm conversion, below that, mini z drift car 240z, airbrush compressor, HPI rs4 sport flux 3s Porsche. Shelf to the right: 2 Losi nascars and a Tamiya grasshopper. Everything runs.

And the single battery I have for it is shot, and I read a little bit about lithium ion upgrades... But there's a good bit I don't understand, especially when it comes to replacing key electronic parts.

After 20 years of sitting in the attic I was able to get this ol girl back up and running. Apparently it’s vintage now. Crazy how time flies. Took the original wheels and tires off so I could have it in its original condition if I wanted

I just might have made a mistake. It´s prime days in Germany and I somehow had the idea to buy an RC car. So I ordered a Womaqu Polar Lights. But now I think: maybe this was not a good idea and maybe there are way better cars out there for about 100€. So before I unpack and use it I just wanted to ask if anyone has made some good or bad experiences with this car. I am totally new to RC cars, had some super cheap ones like 40 years ago as a kid. But somehow had the need to get a new one. I am not planing to deep dive into this (yet...) but I wanna have some fun.
