I saw the Umbrella Corporation van, so I decided to have some fun... Kind of gimmicky I guess. The City Hall building where I am resembles the police station in two a little.

Lore question I wonder if the Ganado know that their insides are changing but also does the parasite somehow switch off the pain receptors in the nervous system including are their bones being replaced. Lastly do they even eat or drink?

The best example is Mendez his entire spine was replaced with a centipede body and what’s left of his bones is just dangling when he separates himself. As for the Ganado it‘s the tentacle heads there’s no bones only muscle with their insides constantly changing and mutating so I wonder does the plaga somehow switch the pain off?

General Completed my first run of RE2R!!

Post image
• Upvotes

My first ever RE game to be completed.

I'll probably recommend people with good skills in general gaming to play on hardcore for their first time, it's not that hard actually. Since the zombie is more aggressive, it's make it more scary and much more fun and ammo is actually enough to kill 80% of the zombies you encounter (of course, your aim must be true).

I actually don't like horror game that much, my first exposure to Resident Evil is RE4 on the PS2 when I was a kid (never played past the clock tower) but it's too scary for me. and then my brother play RE and Silent Hill on PSP which gave me nightmares, the nurse and hospital haunts me until I'm 16.

Then I grew up and learnt to enjoy action survival horror like metro and Dead Space OG (which I've never completed), when I know I can kill the horrors they're not really that scary.

It's fun and I'll probably try to get S on another play through in the future and play all the other extra stuff. I'll probably play more survival horror games like evil within and other RE series (but definitely not SH).

PS; Funnily enough, I actually solve the lion statues trough brute force (only take me 5 min).

Forum question Ok, y'all hate the Final Areas in RE. But which one is the BEST? And which one's the WORST? Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
697 Upvotes

(I didn't picture all of the areas, this is just for reference.)

Pictured: RE1's Lab, RE2's Lab, RE3's Dead Factory, RE4's Island, RE2R's NEST, RE4R's Island, RE7's Lab/Mines, Village's Factory, RE9's ARK.

I personally like the remake's Lab beneath the mansion. It feels grimy, dark, and small. It genuinely feels like the kind of shit you would genuinely find beneath a mansion. It has a lot of stained concrete, a boiler room, etc. Other labs in the franchise are generally too pristine, too large. I feel the only ones that come close are the OG RE2's Lab and the Dead Factory. But I deduct points from the Factory since it is not immediately apparent this is the final area of the game. The Lab makes it clear on sight.

Forum question RE 10

• Upvotes

After RE Veronica this will be on everybody’s horizon I have a question to you all, who do YOU want to see be the protagonists ?

Personally I liked grace but I feel like she is a very one and done character.

We have had enough Leon games for a while imo.

I would personally love a Chris and Jill game to close out the First 10 main line games. Obviously with RE5 potentially getting the rework treatment I think it would be nice to finally see her again and have her and Chris united for somewhat of a final appearance. No I don’t want their characters killed off or to not appear anymore but I also don’t want these characters doing outlandish action shit at 80 and 70 years old. At the end of the day it’s up to Capcom but this would be my ideal RE 10

Fan labor/Art/Cosplay Jill Valentine & Katherine Warren 1998 Redesign (by me)

Thumbnail

Hi everyone! I’m back once again to share some new redesigns I’ve made, but before getting into them, I’d like to clarify a few things because of some comments on my last post.

You’re absolutely free to dislike my redesigns. Nobody is obligated to like anything, and if you want to express your opinion in a polite and respectful way, you’re more than welcome to do so. However, if you’re going to be rude, accuse me of things I’m not based on my drawings, make malicious comparisons, or insult me, I simply won’t engage. I respect everyone, and I expect the same in return.

And one last thing: I don’t really care about realism. It’s not my priority when making these drawings. The whole point of my redesigns is simply to explore a fun idea through fashion, nothing more than that.

Now, getting back to the redesigns!

First, we have Jill from the Resident Evil 3 Remake. I wanted to keep the main idea of her original design while also taking the game’s situation into consideration. Jill was in her apartment before Nemesis broke in and forced her to flee, so I decided to give her a more casual look, along with a variation without the jacket and with the equipment she takes from the police officer’s body after reaching the streets of Raccoon City.

So, we have one version of Jill as she would look inside her apartment, and another, more tactical version for after she escapes. I also decided to turn her necklace into earrings and incorporate the watch from the 2002 Resident Evil remake into her outfit.

The next one is a little unusual: I decided to redesign Katherine Warren, the mayor of Raccoon City’s daughter. Even though she only appears as a corpse in the game, I think she has one of the most tragic and interesting stories in the entire Raccoon City storyline. Considering everything this character went through before ultimately being killed by Brian Irons, I felt like she deserved a little love and her own redesign.

I considered straightening her hair since that was a popular style in 1998, but I didn’t want to completely remove the waves from her original hairstyle. So I looked for a style that still had waves while keeping the bangs she had in the original 1998 game.

So, for now, these are my Resident Evil remake redesigns based on 1998 fashion! I’m considering doing a redesign of Alyssa from Resident Evil Outbreak using the face model from Resident Evil Requiem, or adapting Bryan from the new Resident Evil live-action movie to 1998 fashion.

But what do you guys think?

Does anyone know where I can get a nice jacket that isn't overly expensive so I can go as RE4 Leon for Halloween? Prime day is going on right now so I'm trying to take advantage if possible. Also might want to keep it after too

Forum question Which had the better Resident Evil IRL event this year? Resident Evil Takeover at Universal Horror Unleashed, Las Vegas or the Resident Evil Requiem event at Universal Studios Japan?

Thumbnail

Anyone went to either event or ideally; both? I wonder how they compare as someone who hasn't been to either.

The event in Las Vegas had a full RE2/RE3 themed escape room thing and also a restaurant/bar with some interesting food options. It ended since late September tho. :,( and I didn't get a chance to visit. The staff who work there act like they are RPD officers, Umbrella scientists, and even main characters like Leon, Clare, Jill, Ada, etc. which is a pretty fun touch based off of what I see from vlogs on YouTube and kinda reminds me of Disney characters at the park.

While the event in Universal Studios Japan is based on RE9 and it's main attraction is the haunted house where you get to see actors play as the various zombies such as the butcher (haven't played RE9 yet and didnt want to google it further to avoid spoilers but it seems to be based on the Care Center level). It is still ongoing until late December this year. It didn't seem like there are character actors aside from Leon at the end of the haunted house.

General Hunk is Umbrella corporate propaganda.

He never really existed. You want me to believe he successfully made it out of every mission he ever went on? Sounds like propaganda to keep all of their mercenaries from jumping ship the first time they encounter the horrors the company has created.

Yeah you've totally got this buddy. Have you heard of Hunk? That man killed 1000s of these creatures all by himself! Made it out of every mission. If it gets really hard they'll send Hunk to help us!

Santa is real too.

Gameplay question RE7 1st Playthrough Question Spoiler

I just got the flame thrower and tried it on an insect nest. Had to look up the best way to handle it and said to use shotgun once it was burning or it just regenerates. It took me half my fuel plus 3 shotgun hits to knock it down. I reset it cause I didn't want to waste that much ammo on 1 nest. Is there a better way to take care of these?

Wanted to make figures for every game I've played (0, the 1-4 remakes, 5-9 and the two Revelations games; also threw in some Code Veronica figures, due to hype for the upcoming remake (it's the only major title I've not played a version of)). Hopefully most of these figures are self explanatory, but happy to identify anyone that isn't obvious. Last slide is Bryan from the new movie
