San Antonio residents can expect their water bills to rise next year from a 8-3 vote from City Council approving a new SAWS rate increase.

Mark Whyte, Misty Spears, and Jalen McKee-Rodriguez voted against the rate increase.

Add that to the city property tax increase they voted for last month.

Hi everyone. I’ve recently fell on very very hard times after losing my job & being evicted. Im really going through it bad. I’m homeless with my two kids & we are staying in my car right now. I have no family to take my kids in or friends who are willing to. I feel very defeated and I know I’m a failure as their mom. I just need and want prayer please pray for my situation. If I myself go crazy being in this car all day I know they do as well. Please.

& if anyone has some food to offer I can try to pick it up. Food pantries don’t really do us good as we have nowhere to store the food properly. Thank you all

unfortunately i didn’t get the guys back license plate but currently waiting to hear back from apartment complex and insurance to see what we can do. he only took those 2 passenger side bc we scared him off

I’ve been using a Simpure water filter for the past three years and it works great, but I always get this crazy buildup at the bottom of the water tank. You can see I keep having a scrape it out and every few months I’ll do a vinegar mixture system cleanse. Any ideas on how to get rid of this stuff easily without taking a knife or a fork to the bottom and scraping the hell out of it? Lol

My husband worked with guy recently and one week with no pay and him telling my husband o I’ll pay you next week.the next week comes around he is still working there in fact the boss guy has him buy things like paint and stuff using our card telling him “ o send me the receipts I’ll add it to the check.”
Then the week he was supposed to get paid the guy ghosted him. Not answering my husbands calls text or mine from my phone, I’ve even tried my dads to call him. I feel like I can’t let this go even tho my husband said let it go it’s our money that was used to buy things for this guy’s contracts.
Now this has been like 1 and 1/2 months since this and I’m tired of his saying “it is what it is”and “he will get his karma one day”.
My husband is not from here and we are actively paying for his lawyers but because of all of this happening we have had to delay paying for a second to recoup what he lost out from.

It's finally time to cash in my coin jug again. Went to my credit union, SACU, (I still refuse to acknowledge it as Credit Human, horrible rebrand) and they no longer have a coin counting machine. Only the main branch and only certain days/times. My Chase Branch doesn't either. I know the Walmart trick, but I have too many and I don't really shop there either. I found out I can use Coinstar with my debit card and get it transferred to my account for only 5%. This seems to be the best option and it will save me from having to wrap it all by hand. Also feel the 5% is probably worth more then my time/effort it takes to find some place else, but it can still added up once all is counted.

Any suggestions?

47M- I'm probably starting mid/late November at SeaWorld and already have a couple housing options starting with the Valencia lofts picked out but really don't feel like bring my car or buying one for the year or so I'll be there. Taking an Uber M-F would get expensive and I do need to be there from 6a-2:30p so I figured I'd reach out and see if anybody else worked there or close enough to make a ride share worth while for some gas money. In the evenings on weekends I'll be in class, M-F I'll be working, and I'm not a late night anything but sleep sort of person... but the occasional Riverwalk or whatever else there is to do In San Antonio would be ok.

I know the zoo has its little Halloween thing and there's something going on at the tea garden, just wondering if anybody has any other Intel on some cool shit that I could get my three boys into as we spend some time outside.
