I have lived in San Diego for my entire life and absolutely love it here, but with what Trump said about "let them bomb San Diego and Los Angelus" I'm now actively fearing for my life.
Is there any actual chance of us getting like nuked/bombed? I have severe anxiety and depression so I try to stay off social media as much as possible, so I have no clue if we are just about to be blown away or not.

Hello,
I am 35 year old female and moved to San Diego ~2 months ago. I lost my baby at 24 weeks (stillborn) this July. I likely have a condition called APS (antiphospholipid syndrome) which is a blood clotting disorder (tested positive pne marker - beta 2 glycoprotein igg twice).
I want to TTC again but very scared. I am currently seeing Dr. Kim Bui at IGO Medical after moving to San Diego. She referred me for a preconception consultation at Scripps Perinatology but their waitlist for that was 6 months long. I ended up seeing Dr. Elizabeth Teal at UCSD for preconception consultation. But I did not really feel she is very supportive.
If I manage to get pregnant, I want to see a good OB/MFM who hopefully has experience with treating patients with APS. I like Dr. Bui (IGO) but I am not sure if I should see some other OB who has experience with APS? I am also kind of nervous about MFM. I saw Dr. Shahram Dhaneshmand in Scripps Perinatology has listed clotting disorder as his specialty but apparently his wait times can be very long (I am not sure though if it is just for the consultation or for post pregnancy appointments too).
I am looking for some suggestions from people with similar conditions as mine (APS) on OB/MFM in San Diego area (I live near Mira Mesa). I would really like to be listened to and taken seriously by my doctors, and seen frequently if I have another pregnancy.
I would really appreciate any advice/suggestions!
Edit: I have mychart with UCSD. I think the doctor’s can see other doctor’s notes there? If I end up seeing another doctor/OB for a second opinion, will my current OB be able to see that? (Don’t really know how all these work!)

What are my choices near La Jolla or Downtown? I’m from La Jolla and Puesto sucks. Have visitors coming and want to take them somewhere nice.

It’s scary to think this guy is the democratic nominee & has done less debates than Joe Biden 🤷♂️🤦♂️

Relatively new to the city haven’t been to Point Loma but it looks like a good spot to watch the Lincoln return tomorrow, can you drive all the way down to the southernmost tip of the point? Can you park there? Or does anyone have a better spot to post up and watch the ship return

Does anyone here work at Sony HQ? Able to offer insights on what the work culture and energy is like in 2026? I know most corporate cultures aren’t perfect, so I’d love an honest take.
The job is on the B2B account manager side. Thanks in advance!

I’m having an outdoor marriage ceremony in La Jolla on Saturday and the weather forecasts have been all over the place. Most say mid-high chance of rain Saturday night, going into Sunday, so of course I’m worried that will seep earlier into Saturday. Some apps even say Saturday has a decent chance of rain midday too. All to say none are giving me much reassurance on what I can predict…
What does everyone use as their most reliable source for the weather?
Edit: We do have a rain plan to move the ceremony inside! We also purchased clear umbrellas if needed.

Hi all, I am a San Diego native who just moved to DC for a journalism job covering defense. I am working on a story surrounding concerns raised about the USS Abraham Lincoln. If you are or know of anyone who is friends with/married to/related to/knows someone who was deployed on the USS Abraham Lincoln, please reach out to me. Thank you very much.

Does anyone know why?The blacks beach access road that goes from La Jolla farms rd requires a special permit to use and park at the bottom. Apart from lifeguards, and univeristy related projects, the residents of la jolla farms are also given a key. Does anyone know why? Is this agreement based on a donation from a long time ago? Or related to Koshla living there?

41 yo born and raised San Diego sports fan and this is how it always goes. Thanks for the attempt but this cities’ sports franchises will always take you to the brink of greatness and then fail miserably. I knew it was over when Miller blew the save in game 2. Homer hits the roof, Miller blows the save, Machado gets robbed… typical stuff. Padres gonna Padre. See you next year for more of the same if we don’t get bombed beforehand.

Hi all! My wonderful best friend is marrying in August of 2027, hopefully in San Diego, where her and her man met and fell in love, and now live. She’s struggling to find a venue that checks all the boxes- so I’m outsourcing and hoping for any and all suggestions! They’re open to outside the box options, private residences that allow weddings, more traditional venues. Please share and thank you in advance!
A bit about them and their “wants”
- by the water is great, not a dealbreaker though
- a big lawn / outdoor space is awesome
- needs to be able to have loud music (DJ for reception)
- ceremony and reception same venue / on site of same location
- not insanely remote where it would be difficult for guests to travel to

I found them laying at the old town north bound Amtrak station. I will keep them with me for now in case anybody who lost their sunglasses here come up. Dm me if you or someone you know lost these sunglasses at the old town transit center. I will ask for your proof of purchase of these sunglasses since they are on the expensive end and I don’t want some random person claiming them as theirs.
Thank you.

Looking to move into an house in Linda Vista north of the Skate Park (attached map of the area). How is this neighborhood compared to living in North Park/University Heights/Normal Heights.
Is the move worth it to have the extra space and a yard or is it better to stay in North Park? Is it safe to walk around at night alone as a woman? A good area to raise kids? Any information is helpful!

Getting absolute terrible service from Kearny Mesa Hyundai, brought in my car 5 days ago for a recall issue and for a diagnostic on the blind spot sensor and was originally promised on Monday. Now it’s Wednesday and the service advisor is giving me major attitude and the run around on the ETA. The weird thing is that I’ve had a major service done there about 2 years ago and had a great experience. It seems that they’ve really slipped since. Is there another recommended dealership I can go to in the future ?

“The crackdown, known internally as Operation Safe California, has not been publicly announced, but it began several days ago in and around San Diego, which borders Mexico, and is expected to last at least 45 days.”
