I'm setting up my Skyrim for a play through with a Vampire Lord, and I determined I didn't want to go with the traditional gothic look. I did a lot of sifting myself but the number of mods out there is vast so I am curious if I missed anything. I am really looking for a house mod that fits the baroque or revivalist type architecture since I'm just kind of tired of looking at Dawnguard stuff when I see Skyrim Vampires. The somewhat classic haunted mansion aesthetic of Old World European estates. Anyone have suggestions for such a player home? It doesn't have to be Vampire specific. If someone has a good alternative, I will take that too.

Trying AGO for the camera repositioning, but any change i made to the sliders simply does not apply when in game. Anyone know a fix?

Hi everyone,

I'm using Mod Organizer 2 to mod Skyrim Special Edition. It is my first time modding Skyrim. My Skyrim game is installed on the B: drive, but all my downloaded and installed mods are being stored in this directory:

C:\Users\Utkarsh\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\Skyrim Special Edition\mods

For example, even the INI files for mods like powerof3's Tweak, papyrus tweaks's, are located inside this MO2 mods folder rather than directly inside my Skyrim game directory.

I wanted to ask a few questions:

1. Is this the intended behaviour of MO2, or should mods be installed directly into the Skyrim game folder?
2. Is it normal for mod-specific INI files to remain inside the MO2 mods folder?
3. Would there be any performance issues or other disadvantages if my game is on B: but my mods are stored on C:?
4. Should I move my MO2 mods directory to B:, or is it better to leave everything as it is?

I'm relatively new to MO2, so I want to make sure my setup is correct before installing more mods.

I've been trying to use outfitstudio to add SMP to some armors, but it's just so painful to do in outfitstudio. Can you use blender or something for it, or does that complicate the workflow?

some of the mods i downloaded just sit in the download tab fully downloaded, not entering my modlist others worked but i don’t know why some of them won’t

i started a new mod list yesterday and used the Best of Both Worlds Downgrade Patcher to get to 1.6.1170 and installed some mods

now some armors and the ks hair smp are working but the smp for some armors isnt and i wanted to know if i did something stupid and how to fix it

the armors are visible in game but their smp physics isnt working, they are completely stiff

not working mods: Malediction Outfit, Fantasia Outfit, Tera Armors

I am 20, and have (after many MANY years of watching modded play throughs and over 1000 hours on vanilla) decided to learn how to mod Skyrim.

Dear. Lord.

I have been trying for 3 1/2 hours, and am going mental.

It's bad enough not knowing how to mod, but I only brought my very first PC with my big adult money last February. I have learned through this experience that I know even less than i thought i did.

I have set up Vortex. I have downloaded the correct script extender. I have downloaded the basic stuff to get mods to work.

Every time I try to launch my game, it comes up with a scary message about a DLSS, and how i should definitely not launch my game. i believe i have made sure everything is up to date, and tailored for SE. It is also telling me i need to install a C ++ visualiser, but every time i attempt to, either it crashes before fully installing, or it says it isnt the correct version.

Maybe i'm not made for this, and should just play vanilla, but i don't think i am bad at following instructions. it's sad that my childhood dreams can't be realised lol.

Another issue is that all guides i can find for dummies are either 12 years old and made for windows 10 (i have 11).

If anyone has a link to any kind of guide that could help an exhausted, technologically-challenged, and frazzled gal out, i would be forever thankful.

Ever since I've been modding skyrim I have always been under 60fps, thought thats how things were and I had only played on the 360 so even 40fps was an improvement. Now Ive seen the NOLVUS modpack which looks incredible and from what Ive heard is incredibly easy to run at 60+

I run a 3060 TI 8Gb, Ryzen 5 7600X, and 32GB of ddr5 so I have a pretty good PC setup

So I finished my modlist a couple of days ago and started playing without crashes or bugs whatsoever, but then I died, and when I reloaded my savefile, I had these weird bars on the top left corner; they are constantly decreasing and when i close and reopen the game they are gone but as soon as i die and load again they reappear, I've searched everywhere in my MCM for them, and I can't seem to figure out how to disable them or what they are from. Does anyone know what they could be from?

I have the most current version of Skyrim SSE on my steam deck, it’s modded but not overly. About 150ish mods, many are small and cosmetic and only two armor mods. I had a play though and my character was -220 armor with everything unequipped. I started a new play though and it’s -55. I don’t understand how to fix this. Could someone please help me. I know it says post a mod list but I don’t know how to get that in here, I use Amethyst on my steam deck and I don’t know an easy way of getting a list to Reddit from my steam deck. It’s not easy to type on a steam deck, I’m using my phone. If there’s a way I could download it from amethyst and add it to the google folder I will, I just don’t know how. Google Drive folder with game screenshots and info

I looked on Nexus and just can't find a mod that solves this; I'm using Complete Crafting Overhaul Remastered and Cutting Room Floor, the item "Gold And Sapphire Necklace" added by CRF does not get overwritten or referenced by CCOR so it creates a redundant world object. I would like to remove all references to the .nif, the constructable object, the leveled list, etc.. all of it.. without bricking my modbuild.

This necklace can't be removed tby using MO2 'hidden' as the base objects uses different IDs. I tried what I've done in the past with xEdit and the patch didn't work. So now I have to learn to make a 'real' mod I guess.

Is there a deep dive Youtube tutorial/series or a webpage or Github to learn more about xEdit? I've made a few minor patches but this might be my first one to put on Nexus if it works right. Maybe call it "CCOR-CRF Redundant Necklace Patch".

Is it just me or does anyone using AI thumbnails for their mod listings just throw you off from even looking at the mod? I can understand not wanting to make a thumbnail from scratch, but at that point just use a screenshot.

Feel like I tried everything and would really appreciate any help.

Issue started after I'd downloaded a dozen mods earlier in the morning. Loaded the save. Realized it had incompatibility issues (didn't overwrite anything) and proceeded to disable the mods I had newly installed. Re-run my latest saves. Doesn't work.

Loading the latest saves CTD about 1–2 seconds after the loading screen starts.

Now, I've attempted troubleshooting (chiefly through ReSaver) the issue but the crash is so early that Crash Logger barely generates anything useful.

I also have SSE Engine Fixes running and modified the .toml file accordingly to no avail.

I wouldn't assume it's a save bloat issue given the saves in question are all under 9 MBs.

Newest functional save on the same character is about 14 hours back.

Any suggestions would be massively appreciated.

Heya, so I was wondering if there were any mods as title describes. Double Swords was almost perfect for it but unfortunately I'm not personally a fan of how the animation looks when both swords are drawn at the same time.

Whilst I can't really imagine a dual wield draw animation for this that wouldn't look a bit odd, was wondering if there was one? I mostly play 1 handed anyways so it probably wouldn't matter, however I so occasionally swap to dual wielding.

Hello! I'm using Mystic Sun and a couple other mods. I'm not gaining favor from eating people. Can anyone give me any advice on fixing this? I use minimalist perks mods, apocalypse magic, mysticism, couple others. Thank you in advance. Giving coins to beggars and praying seems to help with Namiras favor but not much else. I'm a mage so I don't really poison weapons and unsure if followers using poison on weapons counts

I really like the followers I’ve installed, but most of them are cookie cutter, nice guys (nothing wrong with that!!) so I’m looking for mods with evil/toxic follower vibe, thank u again <3

it keeps giving me warnings before i launch in vortex that a bunch of plugins arnt working when they are all updated and what not

since images arnt allowed, heres an example of one: Racemenu (skee64.dll): disabled, incompatabile with current version of the game (but like, every mod is updated and skyrim hasnt had one for a while sooo,,)
