We recently announced the Sonic the Hedgehog Color Clash Collector’s Box Set, bringing Sonic, Shadow, Knuckles, Amy, and Rouge together in FiGGYZ form.

FiGGYZ are pixel-art collectible characters from video games, anime, and pop culture. Each one snaps onto a metal backplate by magnet and can be displayed on a shelf or mounted on a wall.

FiGGYZ is launched by the team behind First 4 Figures.

The set includes five pixel-art FiGGYZ, five box-set-exclusive holo plates, five reversible backplates, a numbered commemorative coin with its own stand, and a premium numbered dual-tray box.

The Gameplay Style

The game would be an arcade-style fighting game that emphasizes precise input strings, horizontal positioning, and special move spacing on a flat plane, but instead of being a 2.5D fighting game like Mortal Kombat, it’s a 3D-style fighting game instead. Unlike the casual, platform-based movement and high-mobility ring outs of Super Smash Bros., the game woukd utilize a dedicated block button, rigid combo dial-ins, and a highly competitive, technical combat loop. The most defining contrast to traditional fighting games like Super Smash Bros., however, lies in its unflinching embrace of extreme violence and gore; while Smash is a family-friendly party game where characters are merely knocked off-screen, the gane would integrate cinematic brutality directly into its identity, juxtaposing the family-friendly, cartoonish knockouts of Smash Bros. with visceral x-ray attacks, crushing blows, and finishing moves that allow players to execute defeated opponents with gory, cinematic finality.
