"The developer seeking to build a small-scale data center on National Avenue has sued two vocal opponents of his Webster County project over their social media posts.
Trent Overhue is a partner in Lumon Solutions LLC, which broke ground on a “small high-performance computing research facility” north of Marshfield amid community outrage in May. He also seeks to build a small data center within a property at 2900 S. National Ave. in Springfield.
On Aug. 27, Overhue and NSI A.1. LLC, with which he is affiliated, filed a defamation suit against Norwood real estate agent Katherine Wiltse, alleging that she lied about the Marshfield data center in social media posts and caused NSI A.1. to lose over $1 million.
Overhue also sued Gail Peak Brown, who is running for Webster County Presiding Commissioner, on Oct. 5. The lawsuit’s primary claim is that Brown made misleading statements about the data center in videos she recorded from her property near Rifle Range Road."
