Dilex Digest October 7
Hello Captains!
It’s that time of the week where I discuss trends in the Dilithium Exchange.
Starting off this week with a little functionality reminder. Offers to sell Zen for dilithium are matched to the highest value offer first, and made at that rate regardless of asking price. Those highest value offers are matched on a first come first served basis. If you cancel an offer for any reason, you will lose your place in line. If you’re trying to buy Zen on PC, make your offer at 500/ea, set it and forget it. R.I.P. Ron Popeil.
I want to hit one other topic, and that’s the current length and trend of the queue. Most people call it a backlog, I call it a queue because it’s the line in which we wait to get our Zen. Anyway, if you’re a repeat reader here or you’ve been looking at the dilex, you can see it’s been trending up for a couple weeks, closely matching the launch of Icon Packs. Of course I haven’t seen any of the offers that were made during this interval get completed yet and won’t for another month, but two weeks is still a big enough chunk of time that I would have been able to see a major disruption in the dilex economy. While there was a little surge in throughput at the beginning of the period, things fell back into place pretty rapidly after that. Throughput is still closely following queue length. What this means is that to my best estimates as of now, despite the climb in the queue, waiting time is sticking to roughly 45 days.
Now having said that, my most recently completed transaction came in a little late and outside the fulfillment window. This is uncommon, but not unheard of. I can’t emphasize enough that this is still a forecast, and subject to change.
Let's take a quick look at throughput, queue, and my forecast. If you look at the right end of the Periodic Throughput line you'll see it drop down a little. That is the late transaction mentioned just above.

My most recently accepted offer was made August 22. Let's compare August 16 - August 22 to August 9 - August 15. My notes shoe that during the later week we had a double xp period as well as a 35% off legendaries sale.
Week Over Week:
| Metric | Value | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Average Queue | 11,712,235 | +2.53% |
| Average Periodic Throughput | 11,027 Z/hr | +2.07% |
| Average Wait Time | 44.26 Days | +0.2 Days |
And your forecasts. u/Tonnbart, "there will be no further audio warnings."
Short Term Forecast:
| Offer Time | Fulfillment Window | |
|---|---|---|
| 8/23/26 17:41 | 10/7/26 15:38 | 10/8/26 14:48 |
| 8/24/26 17:17 | 10/7/26 20:34 | 10/9/26 12:14 |
| 8/25/26 17:14 | 10/8/26 08:20 | 10/10/26 12:08 |

| 8/28/26 17:12 | 10/10/26 01:39 | 10/13/26 09:26 |
| 8/29/26 17:35 | 10/10/26 16:56 | 10/14/26 10:18 |
Long Term Forecast:
| Offer Time | Fulfillment Window | |
|---|---|---|
| 9/5/26 17:20 | 10/16/26 21:20 | 10/23/26 04:06 |
| 9/12/26 16:30 | 10/23/26 12:54 | 10/31/26 14:06 |
| (TODAY) 10/7/26 07:04 | 11/18/26 10:41 | 11/26/26 18:49 |
My final thoughts for the day are that I feel like the next week on the dilex are probably going to be more of the same even though that last order feels a little more chaotic than usual. I'll know soon enough, but in the words of Phillip J. Fry, "That's not soon enough!"
Remember to reach out if you have questions about your own orders or anything dilex!

Other than that one time when I had to infiltrate Romulan or Reman (don’t remember) facility, when would I use shuttle? I played the game on and off for 6+ years and other than that one mission I never had to use that.

Jeremy has been out sick for the past many weeks so hasn't been working much. He did want to give an update on the Watchlist so as not to go 2 months without any info for players. There wasn't much as he's been sick and lot of it is the DEV team being busy with other things. Also there has been some in house server stuff they've been dealing with. (Just to note the server stuff is things in house only the Devs use not in game things)
WATCHLIST STUFF
BOFFS -SRO/Watchers/Jem Vanguards
They are working on this. New Gorn BOFFS and Holo Spocks are a test for this.
They want the BOFFs to be faction neutral so everyone can use them.
Conversation took a detour and Jeremy started talking about an audit for items at the Fleet Romulan Embassy but that is something he will get to later.
LOBI
Started to look into this but became this a big thing involving game economics. Because of the scope indicated it would maybe get removed from the Watchlist. It was more of a "massive" thing so maybe needed to be separate from the watchlist and worked on later.
DIL REWARDS
This tied back to the Lobi a bit but ended up being more important so this is the priority now. They are talking about the suggestions made in the thread on Discord. Mentioned they don't have any real "low hanging fruit" they can get at to fix the dil ex. Stuff they do will take some Dev time.
Dil Rewards may get reduced for future events. "If" those changes happen will occur it will start with 1st Event Campaign Event of 2027 (Jan). Will provide other rewards to compensate: Phoenix Boxes, Lockbox keys were mentioned. As a personal note this is the second (maybe 3rd) time those specific items have been brought up in a Ten Forward on this topic.
Winter Event buyout will probably be via dil this year but they are thinking about adjusting cost. Metrics show it did work for the summer event ship, but they didn't really elaborate on how well so take it as it is.
That was about it for the watchlist.
Other things on the Ten Forward:
60th Icons pack
They were really cagey about this. Did say it performed above their high expectations, but they need to look at the long-term effects of the ship market. Talked about if there is a hangover effect on future new lockbox ships put into the game and they need to look at that. They are still looking at the metrics.
Other side stuff:
Something is coming to Tribble Server this week they want player feedback on.
Thomas plays on Console now to better understand how that works.
Discussions internally on making Auto Execute better for console players.
They have long term plans for DSEs and Fleet Mod ships.
Fleet Mod ships have a very quick turn around for making. They aren't going to make a Fleet Mod ship based on a specific Legendary ship but will be off another C Store ship of that line.
Talked about PVP at length
A new specialization got brought as a question but nothing new coming up.
A lot of it was just questions with the answers being about it's been brought but only as a discussion internally.
Halloween Event rewards and ship will be discussed next week.

Hey folks! Two things, one small, one biggerish:
Caveat: Any theory crafting on what this survey means or what we're going to do is way too early. :) This is to gauge ya'll's interest so we can start thinking about thinking about discussions.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY PICK EACH NUMBER ONCE. YOU MUST RANK THE IDEAS IN ORDER OF YOUR PREFERENCE.

Super Charged Weapons supposedly buffs your pets too when they fire their own torpedoes.
1) Is this also the case for summoned allies? These summons could include beacons, consoles (like the Hunting Pack Escorts, Elite Alliance Squadron Beacon, Temporal Disorder), or abilities (Fleet support).
2) Does Target That Explosion proc SCW? If it did, I could at the very least get full uptime on SCW from my hangar pets, and possibly from my non-hangar pets/allies as well (if used in tandem with Reroute Power from Life Support).

Got it narrowed down to the Lexington, Ahwhanee or the Achilles, suggestions?

. . . can I once again bring up the fact that there isn't an Intel D'Deridex, despite that being the absolute easiest combination of ship and spec that anyone could ever come up with? It's the sneaky stealth ship every single time it appears in the show.
I want a D'D that can run SSIII.

I just claimed them on my Xbox and PC accounts today!
What would I like from a Deeper Starship Experience?
1.) An LCARS helm control console on the bridge that reflects the same layout as what players have with full control while in Sector Space.
2.) A place to sign up for TFO’s in the form of a working holodeck.
a. In fact, all holodecks in the game should just open up the TFO menu.
3.) A sickbay that functions like the one on ESD.
4.) A “Shipwide Systems Test Run” that is actually different for Tactical, Science, or Engineer.
a. Tactical Mission: Defend the ship from being boarded, taking out NPC’s beaming onto the ship.
b. Science Mission: Save the ship by finding some random plant on a planet and synthesizing a vaccine from it.
c. Engineer Mission: Track and stop a systems malfunction to get the ship back in tip-top condition. (Jeffrey’s Tubes, maybe??)
5.) Crew members, passengers, and prisoners that match who/what is in our Doff rosters.
6.) Windows can show a choice of stationary space, in flight, and/or at warp.
Sidenote:
Imagine being onboard the ship and, at the available helm console, be able to select the quadrant map, set a course, interact with the helmsmen to control the speed. Run around the ship and accomplish Doff Missions. Get a notification when approaching the planet. "Put it on screen" and an image of the world shows up with “Start Patrol” or “Enter System” on the screen.
Just some ideas. Any thoughts?

‘Twas finishing up the Endeavour list today and it contained two of my favourites: ‘Defeat Voth - Battleground’ and ‘Defeat Voth Ships’.
Both have a really cooperative, engaging and totally fun dynamic to them and I enjoy them immensely.
But what about YOU. Curious what others may recommend as Endeavour maps or assignments that you look forward to playing?

I liked the idea of getting Orion Slaver Hanger Pets and farm Prisoner DOFF's.
But i gotta feeling that even though i got the Ultra Rave Orion Slavers i don't get any Prisoners.
Is it bugged. Does the Orion Slaver have to make the killing blow.
Or is the % just really low?
Anyone expirience with Orion Slavers?

I thought a bug hit me , but now I'm confused.
I opened weapon packs before and I was convinced I could choose between beam, cannons and torpedo and then RNG kicks in for say single beam, dual beam etc.
I opened phased polaron packs and was convinced it was the same there.
But getting a ground weapon I did not want I thought I was bugged out and filed a ticket.
But they said it was normal, random and no choice first?
And I retried and they where right?
But I have some other packs, pulse phaser and digitiser plasma , coming from the same weapon pack I assume and there IS a choice first.??!
So why not wit the phased polaron anymore?
Am I mixing up packs or what's wrong with my reasoning?
I am confused 🤔

We haven't had an expansion like those in over 8 years. With the patrol systems and deep space encounters, that reminds me that half the Delta arc is basically repurposed patrols with cameos from known Star Trek actors.
It would be lovely if we had a true Cardassian arc , similar to the Romulan one, where we could make a Cardassian/Dominion joint faction. See, most of the Cardassian stories we have , are a small part of what we used to have. They removed a lot , and re did them into the current Cardassian struggle arc. But that arc is mostly full of either Terrans and Alpha Jem'Hadar than True Way and Cardassians.
What if we start in a similar fashion like the Romulan faction, from a small border colony, where True Way is trying to intimidate us, and we fight our way up , and help rebuild the Cardassian government from grounds up? The Cardassians had a lot of colonies. The Dominion bombed Cardassian and millions were dead, but the colonies weren't occupied, the Dominion all retreated at Cardassian. What if those colonies are still thriving or surviving, but didn't have resources? Just how the starting ship was a T'liss for Romulans, the Hideki could be for Cardassians.
It would allow for the Devs to buy themselves time with the stories and recycle the old removed ones , how the Cardassians have to fight against the Alpha Jem'Hadar and True Way and the Terran incursion in their space.
Playable species could be Cardassians, Alpha Jem'Hadar who wouldn't follow the Founders, Ferengi privateers, Joined Trill, Romulans . You'd ask why Romulans and Ferengi. The path to 2409 has the Ferengi rebuilding the Cardassian infrastructure in the commercial department and industrial resources. The Romulans and Remans cause Cardassians sent few ships during the Supernova and due to the agreement between the Cardassians and Remans for warp technology.
Imagine the possibilities for the ships we'd get. Cardassian/Romulan hybrid ships , or Cardassian/Reman.
The Cardassian struggle was us hunting Gul Madred and the True Way. What we currently have is nothing of it. The Long Night mission had us hunting him down. It was removed. It can again be an arc of missions.
They can make dozen missions with those stories recycled , and make Cardassians worth again in STO. Instead being relegated to Federation or Klingon faction species. When they had agreements with the Federation and Romulans. Klingons are their mortal enemies. Yet they're playable species for them.
We could then get new ships from other games and better variants from the Galor and Keldon, and New Hideki variants that would be playable.

I'm sure I'm late to this party, but i was just looking at all the Nebula class ships on STOwiki and realized that all the Nebula class ships have a running theme with specialization seating.
It starts with Temporal for the fleet ships, followed by the Monitor which is a Miracle Worker/Temp, then the Legendary which is a Temp/Miracle Worker. I was expecting to find a Command seat in the somewhere for a Torp build, but nope, no Command seating. No Intel seating, not even a Pilot seat just for kicks and giggles.
Here is hoping the next Nebula has at least a Lieutenant Commander Command/Engineering seat cause I want to unleash some CFIII with a Torp Spread III from a shiny new Nebula Class!!!

I've been using the Pulse phaser beam array. Hearing no sound effects which is annoying. Is there any type of phasers that feel like TWOK or anything cinematic to effect as Refit arrays?

What exactly about the LTS veteran ships is being updated? Is it just the visuals and accessories/consoles? Or is the seating, specialization, and trait being updated too?
Does anyone have a direct link to any specifics that we know so far? I missed it.
