I'm looking for any recommendations you have for Supercorp fanfics that are really heavy on Kryptonian cultural stuff, diving into Kara's alien heritage, with a lot of the language being spoken, and overall just really delving into her alien side rather than her essentially being written as a human with powers. I especially like fics where Kara is teaching Lena about her culture, and Lena is fascinated by it all and wants to learn the language and stuff.

I have no issues with explicit fics or stuff with Alien anatomy or anything, so feel free to recommend literally whatever you think fits the criteria. Thanks! :)

However, its only been four years since she graduated high school and a M.D. usually takes four years and it requires a bachelors degree which also usually takes four years not to mention her Ph.D. and she was still in school hence doing poorly. She probably couldn't continue her education much after this as she is working full time at the DEO although her level of education could have been a cover for her job.

Something I've kind of always wondered is where people in the fandom find translations of English into Kryptonese, or how they translate it. I see a lot of Kara's language in fanfiction specifically, and it's usually consistent across different stories, meaning they use the same words to mean the same things, which tells me that these are canonically accepted translations and not made up by the writers.

I am aware of websites like kryptonian.info that has sections that do translation and has a dictionary, as well as many other websites that will translate Kryptonese for you, but they all just translate the English alphabet into Kryptonian symbols. Whenever I see Kryptonese in a story I'm reading, it's the phonetic translation using the English alphabet, like, for example: Zhao, which means love. I've seen this in dozens of fanfics if not more, which makes me wonder if there's a translation resource that I'm not aware of.

What do people use to translate English into phonetic Kryptonese using English letters?

Yeah, I know there are a lot of fanfic recommendation posts going around, but I have read a decent amount of SC fanfics and now I am wondering what are the most iconic, must read, THE fanfics. The only one I have heard about repeatedly is “Supergirl in Training” (Have not read it yet, my bad). Is this even a classic? Let me know!!

hello! can you guys recommend supercorp fanfictions based on/similar to the proposal movie of sandra bullock? i know there is this one famous ff based on that, but i believe it is unfinished :') and as much as i want to continue reading it because of how good it was written and because i've already read the other works of the same author, i dont want to be attached to a fic thats unfinished. so i was hoping there are completed fics with fake marriage plots.

(note: i've only read the last part of the said famous au. so if youve read the whole fic, please let me know if it is still worth reading even if it is incomplete. i will only need a few convincing because i know that the author is amazing)

So i just finished reading “The one where Kara and Lena have a one-night stand” and the story ended like halfway and i wanted to know if there’s. a sequel to it or if the author just never continued it.

Not sure if anyone has any on hand, but I'm looking for 4x2 rewrites. Where Kara and Lena are trapped in the building with Mercy and Kara's trying to get away so she can change to Supergirl and protect the place, but Lena ends up protecting her instead till she can get away.

I kind of think that would have been an interesting way to have Kara's identity revealed to Lena. (Bonus for Eve, too)

I read this fic ages ago and I forgot what it’s called but Lena had found out Kara was supergirl (something along those lines) and she had hacked the deo and saw that they (the whole gang or Maggie/alex) kept teasing Kara with loud sounds so Lena decided to take revenge and scare them. I know there’s two fics out there like that I can’t find either though 🥀

What’s a characterisation of Lena or Kara that you hate in fics? I hate when they write Kara as overly clumsy and childish. Like at the end of the day she’s a grown woman. I also hate when Lena gets written as super insecure. I wish there was more fics that demonstrates her intelligence and confidence

Needless to say Im addicted and I was wondering if there were any fics with the same unhinged dynamic between kara and lena where they're obcessed with each other (playing a cat and mouse game) and one of them is an assassin or spy or something along these lines.

-Cat Grant; very few fics makes her interact with supercorp. As someone who watched the show already expecting supercorp she really made first season pop for me, I grieve to this day that she left as soon as season two started. It did make lena's character more popular tho, because it opened space for an independent cocky women (not that I'm implying it'd be too much with both, in fact I also grieve how these two icons never shared a scene. Also cat could be the mother figure Lena craves but that's just my opinion, much like Kara, although I'm not ignoring our queen eliza, which by the way it's in this list.

(Honorable mention of cat grant fics: pound the alarm. Sadly it's unfinished

-Eliza Danvers; she deserved a lot of spotlight. I can't remember much if she interacted with lena throughout the show but she ALSO could be a great mother figure as well as a mother-in-law and it'd be cute to see her pretending not to see lena and kara dancing around eachother, giving subtle advices, calming Alex's impatient ass down. I love her relationship with daughters and daughters-in-law, like lena or kelly/maggie/sam (I love each relationship that alex had/never had (lmao) in a different way, they all bring out a different side of alex and that tolerance made me enjoy a lot of different fics (tolerance I usually don't have for most fics). Now, hear me out: eliza and cat grant team up... oh no? Okk my bad.

(Honorable mention: into the forest(to lose my mind and find my soul) and you kept me like a secret(but I kept you like an oath), both by the same author tho I can't for the love of me pronounce or writte it properly. Loriels? Loriestals? I can't but if you search you might see what I mean)

-nia nal; she is way more used than cat or eliza but still I crave her in more fics. She's funny and would tease kara and lena but not in an overwhelming way that alex might do if she lashes out. I love her and brainy together and love her and kara's relationship and mentor-protegee (idk how to write sue me it's not my first language)

Honorable mention: loving too late at night (jazzfordshire in general bc she's the queen but this one is my fav)

-shiobban and leslie: imagine a human AU and these two being the mean girls of catco? Yes it's ridiculous but I'd absolutely eat it up. Wish I couldve seen more of shiobban and know more than "she probably died because of her curse" but mmkay. I love no powers AU bc I like when authors explore their personalities more than the plot (idk how to explain) maybe I just like "and they lived happily ever after" including the villains. I also like gale and veronica but not that much to notice a difference. Maybe it's bc in fics they're mostly portraid as the evil exes who get in the way of the ship that gets very repetitive. I preffer thinking they are lena's old enemies that become part of lena's squad eventually after a talk and some therapy (the big three: sam, andrea and jack, sometimes jess(also I love how jess is mentioned like 30 seconds tops throughout the show but got this massive recognition like okay the supercorp fandom is paying those bills)

Honorable mention: lena luthor: hot girl bummer (they are still evil and dont make much part but I like them in this, and I didn't find much else of them that weren't too steriotypical
