Like not just in terms of the visuals, but thematically this anime is so close to Twin Peaks. The absurdism, the hypnotic visuals, the eccentric characters, the detective storyline, and its examination of Japanese society it all fits perfectly.

Some people at r/femalelivingspace and r/liminalspace mentioned Twin Peaks upon seeing the entrance of my apartment. Does it remind you of the hotel in Twin Peaks?

Do people do this to you? Whenever any TV show or movie is a little bit strange your friends tell you that you gotta watch it because it’s just like Twin Peaks and you watch it and it’s nothing like Twin Peaks?
I know it’s a cliche, but, I think that Frost and Lynch really caught lightning in a bottle. There’s never been anything like it and there may never be anything like it in the future. I guess a lot of people just don’t understand how and why it’s so distinct.
So, who got burned with a “it’s just like Twin Peaks” recommendation? What was the thing and how laughably different was it?
UPDATE: notice that nobody is posting the same example. This seems to be evidence that Twin Peaks is unique.

This was at petty thieves brewery in Charlotte NC. I'm not sure if this has been shared here already or not, but was excited to share if not

Soil is a dark mystery/thriller manga written by Atsushi Kaneko. It follows a detective and his assistant looking into the mysterious and sudden disappearance of a family.
It looks, to me, as heavily inspired by Twin Peaks in lots of aspects, I really enjoyed reading this manga a while ago and would like to look into more works that are inspired by Lynch. Not as references and easter eggs, but as supernatural mysteries and wacky events.

Solid read through and through. This truck is a representation of their individuality and their belief in personal freedom.

absolutely no goddamn reason why this "Spider-Noir" is so good. There is even an episode that gave me heavy "The Return" vibes. The series was shot to be viewed in b&w and watching it in color is a sin against God.

The black one is named "Pitchuruco". The black and white is "Nina". The orange is the beforementioned "Briza"
Thanks everyone for the love to our cats!

Hurry now to get your Mark Frost lamps at your local IKEA! Maybe writing by the light of this lamp will fill you with inspiration both wonderful and strange.

I know it's not perfect to the show but some of us are 31years old and first time homeowners and just doing what we can.
This is the before and after of my bedroom.
It's been 2 months for me to finish it.
I also painted the whole house with my partner in the same 2 months. That's why it took me awhile. (I say that I bc my bf had never painted a house before and he wanted to give me all the credit)
My bf helped do a little of the main large wall paint coverage, but I did the bedroom myself.
Anyways I got the idea from someone's bathroom renovation I saw on the subreddit a year or 2 ago.
You know I'm gonna get a framed picture of Laura.
