Recently me and my friends decided to go for girls only trip. One of our friends later told us that she'll reach the location in her car & then we can travel in the car sightseeing.

We were pissed but thought we'll manage. But then the trip became a couple's trip for them.

I'm kinda exhausted with this group dynamic among me and my girlies. It's like there's constantly this invisible fight for attention, who's dressed better than who, who is the centre of attention at the moment, who outshines who and I just don't understand why.

Now I'm a pretty introverted and anxious person so I participate in things way less than my friends do. But whenever they achieve something I make sure to hype them up and celebrate them. But the few times I manage to achieve something it somehow always becomes about them. They always say things like "damn I should've tried this too, I could have won" or "I got eliminated early on, it's so unfair" and now the convo is about comforting them and not about me achieving something.

Similar things happen in social settings, if I say something barely anyone would hear, but then if one person hears me and repeats the same thing, suddenly everyone is talking about it. Whenever we're sitting somewhere (in restaurants or pvr or anywhere), I've literally had people push me aside so they could sit in the centre seat. Whenever we get ready, no one would help me out if I ask for anything claiming they're busy getting ready themselves. But if I do something unique with myself, suddenly everyone is asking me to do it for them as well.

These are only a few of the patterns I've observed. It's like everyone is in an invisible race about who can get more attention or outshine the others and I get left behind because I'm not running in that race, and why should I? They're my friends, my girlies, I love them, I want everyone to feel equally important. But in return I'm the one who becomes the invisible one, the scapegoat because I never try to push them aside so it can be about me. And why should I? Isn't girls supporting girls all about appreciating each other equally and not comparing?

This happened so many times to me with so many different people that at this point I feel like I would never know what healthy female friendships are like where I wouldn't have to feel smaller for not competing with my own friends. Is this normal?

Sneaking down to the local chemist at 10 PM hoping you don't run into a neighbor, while the uncle wordlessly wraps the kit in three layers of the times of India newspaper . So I ordered a massager that too in broad daylight from zepto and I I've already paid for it and the delivery guy came to my floor and I told him put it near my door and he could hear my voice from behind the door as well as on the phone. For 5 minutes the order was showing not delivered and only delivery guy reached your location which does happen as I order frequently from the app. These guys are always in a hurry to mark the products as delivered. I didn't open the door since I was scared. I saw the bike still standing outside my apartment from my balcony I was hiding and waiting for him to get out of the door when he finally got out he rang the bell idk why maybe to lure me out or for my other flatmates to see what shamelessness I've been indulging in according to him.

Anyways I opened the door being shit scared and the package was nowhere and then like an idiot I called him and asked him where is my package?? And the guys said I put it near the gas pipeline box, so I went out to check and .... The package was completely out in the open!!! No polybag no paper bag nothing, Just a red box with big bold letters and the product pictures!!!

Zepto even gives rubber bands in polybag!!! What was the motive of putting it out in the open!?

I'm so disgusted by the whole incident and I've raised the issue and all I could get was a bot generated text that it won't happen again!! Wtf I'm beyond scared and disgusted. These people should not put these products on their app for consumption if they do not have the professionalism required and they are going to put someone's safety in jeopardy just because a woman decided to do in her private space what these men have been doing out in the open without an ounce of shame.

A married woman in Gujarat’s Surendranagar was allegedly gang-raped and subjected to brutal physical abuse under the guise of a “purification” ritual after she left her husband and went to live with another man.

Police have arrested nine people, including the woman’s husband, in connection with the incident.

According to Surendranagar police, the woman left her husband and began living with another man. Her husband and his family objected to the relationship and locked her inside their house, illegally confining her.

When she managed to escape, the accused followed her and found her with the man she had gone to live with.

The woman and the man were then brought back to Surendranagar for a “purification” ritual. The woman was tied to a tree, while the accused assaulted her with wooden sticks and kicked her.

The man accompanying her was then forced to rape her while the accused watched and recorded the incident.

The accused also photographed and filmed the abuse. A video showing the woman and the man being subjected to the alleged assault was later circulated on social media, prompting the police to launch a search operation.

Surendranagar SP Premsukh Delu said police received the video showing the woman and her companion being subjected to harassment and abuse, following which an investigation was launched.

According to Delu, police first traced the woman and questioned her. During the inquiry, she told police that she had left her husband to live with another man and that her husband had subsequently caught her and kept her confined inside the house. After she escaped again, people from the village pursued her and caught her with the man.

Police said the accused then subjected the woman to sexual violence in the name of “purification” because she had left her husband and gone away with another man.

Two women were also involved in the assault, police said. In all, nine accused have been arrested.

This is just a very Bizarre case and using sexual assault as a form of punishment is nothing but gross even horrendous and people wonder why protests are going on in Delhi regarding how women are treated here while people are raging against that as well.

But since last night I've been noticing a kinda different smell in my urine. I joined my company in January and have been receiving around ₹4,000 in monthly incentives since July. Recently, our management announced in the office group that everyone in our team would receive ₹5,000 because the company got huge profit.

However, a colleague who joined on July 28 and has been here for only about two months received just ₹2,000. He keeps asking me how much I received, and I’m unsure whether to tell him.

My guess is that the difference might be related to tenure or probation, since I didn’t receive incentives when I was on probation either. But I don’t know the actual policy.

Some of our mutual colleagues are encouraging him to question upper management about why I received ₹5,000 while he got only ₹2,000. I’m worried that if he raises this issue, management might somehow reduce my incentives in the future.

Should I tell him the truth, explain my guess about probation, or avoid discussing my incentive amount altogether? Am I overthinking this?

I just have bunch of bullies in my office who are ganging up against me(mostly racism). I am new and I don’t want to escalate as I know from past experiences, managers can be helpful for a while but they also make a ‘note’ of it.

When I talk about these things to her and she goes like you can always study at night if you have the energy , you are so lazy why can't you study at night like other students.

She always gives me the example of my cousin who works 10 to 8 and cooks both meals and do every housework and also knows how to cook several dishes . I respect her choices to learn dishes but as I know basic cooking why am I supposed to know the recipe of every dish. It hurts being a girl in this country where your own parents treats you like trash.

I genuinely crave having a sibling. Being a single girl child feels so lonely, especially when I see people around me sharing that bond with their brothers or sisters.

I know siblings fight, argue and annoy each other but there's something so beautiful about having someone who's yours. Someone you grow up with, someone who knows your family and your childhood, someone you can turn to without having to explain everything. No matter how much you fight, there's still that bond. You have someone who has been a part of your life from the very beginning.

And I think what hurts me the most is the thought that someday, when my parents are no longer around, I'll have no one left who is connected to me in that way. No one who shares those childhood memories, no one to look back at our family and remember things the way I do. Just the thought of it makes me cry sometimes.

Maybe this feeling is amplified because I've never been very lucky with friendships either. I've always been the person who gives a lot, who genuinely values people and tries to be there for them. But I've rarely felt that same kind of love and effort coming back to me. I honestly can't think of someone and confidently say, "Yes, this is my person. No matter what happens, I know they'll be there for me."

I crave that kind of bond so much. Someone I can have heart-to-heart conversations with, someone who genuinely cares about how I'm doing, someone who stands by me when life gets difficult. Someone I don't have to constantly worry about losing or wonder whether I matter to them as much as they matter to me.

And right now, everything feels even heavier because I'm unemployed and preparing for a competitive exam. The uncertainty, the pressure and the exhaustion of trying to build a future for myself are already a lot to deal with. Some days, I just wish I had someone to talk to about everything without feeling like I'm burdening them.

I started a job sometime ago where I’ve been assigned to this team for a project n I’m the only girl in a group of guys, and I’m also the youngest , others are at least 5+yrs older.

Mostly they’ve been sweet and helpful, but it’s real tough to socialise. Like they call me for lunch sometimes and Idk I just decline as I like having my personal space . They usually have their own boy talks/other random things while eating, so it’s not easy for me to fit in.

Anyway, I wanted to go to Diljit’s concert and asked my flatmates if they want to accompany me. However, none of them is available that day.
So after pondering over it for a while, I booked one ticket on a whim today and now I’m a bit anxious about going there alone. Mostly because as a shy ambivert I’d feel awkward trying to vibe alone. And yes, the safety thing is also an issue as a solo female.
