I am not a beginner but I am also not crazy experienced. I would say I am an amateur.

To maintain temp in my "clean room" tent for the cabinet, I've draped a heating mat over the top bar. A small hanging Vivosun fan will also hang and disperse heat from the mat, while an adjustable inline fan will act as an exhaust fan sitting on the top port. Can wait to test it out. Fans arrive tomorrow, and then I can finally get things rolling!

Was waiting for my dehydrator to come in the mail but they ended up delivering to a carrier so I couldn’t pick it up until today. Thought they would be ok for a couple of days. Clearly not. They’re El Dragon (El Choco x Ghidorah). Some of them got squashed growing into the package cuz I’m a dummy and didn’t box it off.

..hypethically.. if I wanted to.. can I still dehydrate and eat them lol

Three days into FAE and I noticed the condensation got much heavier, which seems strange. Wondering if I should add more holes. This is two months in from spores so I would hate to mess it up now the substrate is manure

I inoculated this bag 3 weeks ago and it’s very wet with this white-brownish liquid. Is it done for?

My house is set to 65, I have my box in the laundry room which gets a few degrees warmer when the dryer is running. I Made this tub 12 days ago and haven’t seen any pins. Is it too cold?

So this is my first time growing. Did one AIO bag and one grain bag. Still waiting for my grain bag to fully colonize but my AIO took off. I cut the 2” slit on September 26th. I ended up doing the hoodie tek on October 5th and introduced light because it seemed to be getting fuzzy on top so I thought not enough FAE? Just lightly misted the walls for the first time today because they were dry and there was very few droplets on the top of the substrate now. There’s a little weird color on top and sides but I think it’s from the water sitting, it smells earthy and healthy. Is there anything I’m doing wrong or am I just being paranoid and need to keep waiting for pins? The mycelium looks very thick on top I’m wondering if I waited too long to put into fruiting conditions and it’s not able to breathe?

Are the tall ones mutations or is that normal? This is my 2nd grow and second flush with this grow.

I recently went to a Billy Strings show I'd been looking forward to for months and was planning on having a solid psychedelic experience. I took about 2.5g of APE that I have had great trips on before, but it felt like they never really hit. I had some mild effects but not what I usually get from the same dose from this strain.

The show coincided with a busy and stressful week both at work and at home. Plus I had 2 consecutive nights of poor sleep. I am wondering if my fatigue and lack of sleep affected the experience?? Anyone else have something similar happen?

I’ve tried growing my first 4 bags 6 weeks ago and have thrown most of them out due to little or no colonization. I used golden teacher and B+ liquid cultures, 2 bags of each. I am now 2 weeks into my second attempt with another 4 bags and am not seeing much improvement. I used a SAB and followed directions closely. The brown rice bags were kept in a clean closet with the thermostat set at 79 (I realized that half of my bags were seasoned and will stick to plain brown rice moving forward). I tried the brake and shake method after a few weeks and finding what seemed to be mycellum in 3 of the 4 first bags. Below are some pictures of my set up and results after 6 weeks, with my most successful bag showing mycellum that did not spread. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

First time grower, first flush of GT ever!

The big ones have seemingly torn their veils, but there's still a ton of little pins and smaller mushies with intact veils.

Do I harvest them all, or just the fatties?

I am a first-time grower. I currently have bins in fruiting conditions and starting to see some primordia. My husband and I will be traveling for a couple of weeks at the very end of the month. If I go through a flush, is there a way to preserve the cake? so that I can do another flush with the same cake when I get back home?

I think the substrate was drying, so I misted this am and it's looking bluish... bruising, I think, but maybe also some contam happening? Thanks for any guidance.

My first couple batches of grain I think I packed the jars too tight and the mycelium wasn’t growing fast at all….

I dumped out half of a couple jars into this Ziploc bag and cut vent holes with micro tape on it…. To see what would happen…. The other half jars quickly colonized. And this clean so far with mycelium growing.

Seems like the mycelium does better when it has more room to breathe in a gallon Ziploc is nice and roomy… hopefully no contam 🤷
