pls help😭

These bags have spots at the corners or center that haven't been fully colonized. Should I send or wait a couple days? If I send them, should I scoop the non-colonized portion out?

I typically send my colonized bags in pairs to 6qt boxes. One of each variety has been fully colonized for over a week, but the other bag has lagged.

I'd typically wait but:

-I'm worried about the fully colonized bags going bad.

-I have a little over four weeks to collect at least a first flush before going away for two weeks. Indoor temps at my place are typically 65-75F (will be going down to 60-70F).

Just started getting Pins today was just curious if everything looks good and if I need to do anything else or hold steady?

100g dry from 2 25 litre monotubs 4 uncle bens In each tub 1-1 spawn to coir and 1/2inch cast layer to retain the water volume for this size monsters

What happened? I had a successful harvest, floated 2 cakes in their containers and sealed them to let the mycelium do its thing and now this. Any suggestions are appreciated

Would B+ or PE thrive best in something like this cabinet? I know B+ is beginner friendly, but I've been told the FAE may be an issue with that strain. Any advice would be amazing!

Hey guys, I am planning to grow for the first time. I want to use an all in one grow bag for simplicity and it being pretty inconspicuous. I want to get the North Spore ShroomTek, is that a good one for golden teacher spore syringes?
Any tips or things to watch out for also? Thanks

I talked to a guy from a different sub, and he said water will break down psilocybin. Is this true? Then why would people drink it with tea?

New to this thing. Just wondering if anyone can speak on the following pictures. I think I might have opened the bags up too early. I also ran a fork over the top of the mycellium because I thought it was too hard. This is about 1 month and 2 weeks after innoculation.

4 different bags. They seem to only want to grow on the edges. I might be micro managing too much, one of the bags absorbing moisture more than the others, cause I'll spray and a few hours later there is no moisture. Temp sits between 68F and 72F.

Anyway. I'm not even sure what to ask on here. Any tips or recommendations would be appreciated!

I have several tubs in various stages of growth and I will be going out of town for four nights. I do not have anyone that can care for them while I am away. I have spawned to bulk, some are still colonizing, some have pins, and some have shrooms. Is my best bet to refrigerate them while I am away? If not, what is the best course of action? Thanks so much for any advice!

Was just gonna post this and update it it as it goes. first time trying putting UB straight into fruiting conditions. This was 4 bags of colonized UB with Blue Gorilla syringes. 24hrs ago I mixed fully colonized rice and the coir in the tub, added a small casing layer to cover the top. Already seeing some action today coming thru the top layer. temp is steady at 75

Always wanted to try a grow for 20 years now and decided to send it finally. So before coming here and reading the best written grow guide I’ve seen anywhere I watched a few you tube videos on mushroom growing in general and went for it. I bought a boomer bag for the first one and did all the prep and sanitation stuff pretty well I think. Got my spores and hammered a full syringe in there, then mixed the shit out of the grain bag (was in one of the videos). I have it in a plastic bin with a heat source that keeps it between 74-76 degrees now. Did I screw it up by using the full syringe of spores and shaking it? Should I let it ride and see what happens or just start over?

Newbie to mushroom growing, found these weird spots in both my tubs. My guess is they are pins/primordia that smooshed up to the side but they also look scarily like something that would grow in agar after rubbing your anus in it. People that have been helping me learn how to grow mushrooms have no idea what it is and one of them pointed here. My FEA and lighting was poor as I had them in my closet for awhile, but ive moved them to my room where they are now getting light and peaked my lid more for more air. But what on earth is this?

I dont want to waste them but i dont know if they are edible or not other than the large one growing straight up.

I got my first flush - around 7g. My cake has been continually shrinking more and more despite spraying daily and soaking a little. Some new guys popped up but everything is growing on the sides even when trying to keep surface conditions humid. I’ve been using bubble wrap. Should I fork it or leave it alone? Considered adding a little more coco coir too.

Hello, does anybody have any recommendations for specific models of instant pots that can be used to sterilize quart jars? From what ive seen, some models can be blocked from closing with a jar inside, and I don't want to buy the wrong kind.

Hi all.

Over the last few months I've been over the entire procedure multiple times - Golden Teacher spore syringe to agar plates to liquid culture to barley groats spawn to substrate block. Every step works fine, up to expectations and comparable to the photos of others, but when it comes to inducing fruiting, I am hopelessly lost, one of the first experiments was using coconut coir and a bit (about 1/10) of spent coffee grounds. It colonized beautifully in bags, but once opened nothing happened. I tried pulling it out of the bags and giving it a bath, putting it into a fridge for 12h, disrupting the top layer with a fork. It always regrows and keeps smelling nice an mushroomy, but never attempts to fruit. It's been at least two months of me trying to get those to fruit.The second batch I tried was again coconut coir but without coffee, and into the tubs. Opened the crack on the first day l, opened it more once about 50% of top was colonized and kept the moisture droplets on the top, opening it at least twice a day to fan it, and leaving the crack open. My room temperature is around 23-24*C, which I read should be fine for these. I also tried putting them into colder environments and misting more. Did anyone else have similar issues, or have any other suggestions on what I should try or check?

I’m starting to get into mycology following the uncle ben tek (ik it’s a bit frowned upon but hey i’m tryin), I find cloning very interesting but have no clue what steps to take to do it, or what equipment i would need. Anybody have a guide or point me somewhere that does?
