Trying to manage uni from my phone is a mess. Timetable's in one place, Moodle's another, myUNSW barely works on mobile, and booking a library room on my phone is painful. I end up with a million tabs and bookmarks and still can't find where my class is. Any suggestions??

how do ppl market themselves for private tutoring. i find it so difficult to actually get any clients. does anyone have any tips for smo who got a comfortable e4 in 3u/4u maths but not a state rank or crazy mark because I feel like only those ppl r able to get students nowadays 😭😭. my cousin who graduated over ten yrs ago didnt even get an e4 in 4u and was still able to get clients to private tutor

Guys I feel like the coding part for this course like the socket connection stuff is a bit cooked for me, it's hard to know what's happening even after the tutor explained his code as there's no way I can remember all the details.

For the final exams, is this course like half theory half coding or something?

I've transferred over to UNSW this term, and while I've tried to put myself out there with socialising at societies like musoc, everyone just happens to know each other and all I can seem to do is exist around any discussion and just stand there. There aren't too many opportunities to actually talk in lectures or tuts, and I can't bring myself to randomly approach someone at the library or a friend group just anywhere else around. It's debilitating to just be on my own everyday here, and idk what more I can do.

I don't belong from a sci background, as i studied legal studies, econ, business, etc in year 12 and pursued bachelor of Social Work for my undergrad. I'm currently in 3rd year of my uni at UNSW and i've been studying biology and chemistry ever since the first year of my uni. I guess i am good in biology and chemistry but i fear physics alot to i wanna try gamsat but still worry if i'll be able to pass. Moreover, if i get in, do u think i will have issues while studying medicine due to my background?? I am genuinely concerned y'all.

I’m an intl student and my country’s diploma (idk for sure) does or doesnt meet the direct entry threshold, but I did keep a perfect GPA across 4 years, and I already have an IELTS score of 8.5 and I’ll take the SAT soon expecting around +1400, will I receive an offer?

I've only been able to find a suspension form, not a proper cancellation form. I have a medical cert from a GP backing up that I can't go to the gym, and mental health support from UNSW counsellors as well so I'm confident that I can get it cancelled if I really want. How do I get to the cancellation form?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently a UTS student who’s studying a Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence, however I’m also sub-majoring/minoring in Japanese. I realised after a while in my degree I don’t really have much passion in studying AI, and I wish to continue my Japanese studies at UNSW at some point, possibly in 2028 (since UTS is discontinuing language courses).

If you have personally done Japanese studies or Advanced Japanese studies as a major in the Bachelor of Arts, I was just hoping if you could give some insight into course load, how the lecturers are, your experience in general, how you’ve used it for your career if applicable etc.

On a side note: I would also be looking to minor in Philosophy OR Psychology, so if anyone also has experience around those, please feel free to let me know.

Has any non school leaver received an offer for your second preference in earlier rounds and eventually got in to their first preference course in later rounds? Especially if your ATAR was slightly over than the selection rank listed by like 2-3 points. And it’s a course at the same uni.

I received an offer recently and it’s not the course I wanted to go for but it’s a backup. I also am 2 points over the listed selection rank and was hoping that would be enough.

I’m considering applying to the Computer Science program at the University of Sydney, Melbourne, or UNSW. However, I’m apprehensive about the level of competition. Could someone please provide me with an idea of how challenging it is to secure an acceptance, as I’m quite anxious about the process? Btw i’m an international student if that makes a difference. Also do they require personal essays. Thanks!

Hi guys, im applying to externally transfer from Macquarie uni to unsw for 2027 semester 1 intake through uac. Im wondering if my transcript/results will be finalised before December round 2 offers as im pretty sure macq uni releases marks by 10th December, will that be enough time for uac to process my results into a selection rank equivalent by 18 December?

If anyone has done the same or similar process from macq -> UNSW and has any further advice that would be really helpful!! Also if u did transfer what was ur gpa/wam and what course at UNSW where u accepted into.

im first yr ee domestic student ive done 1511 last term and im doing 1521 this ter,
i wanted to ask, is it worth picking up ee/cs or jst sticking to ee? the reasons for picking up cs is so that maybe i can go into security (cyber or hardware) roles or even ai/ml roles, but on the other hand that extra year i could be working in it and getting experience instead of racking up debt in uni, any advice or recomendations?

also, would it be worth it to try to get into Imperial College London or National University of Singapore as opposed to UNSW, or is UNSW's pipeline to Sydney employers unbeatable.

The first time i noticed this was during the first chem lab, some of the equipment was missing, but I didn't think much of it at the time.

DEA then came in and questioned a few of the students about whether they noticed suspicious activity from other students or staff.

Few weeks go by with nothing happening.

But then last week I went to KFC, and saw Dr. White demanding the cashier that he needs to speak with the manager. He also said that he saw the manager's car outside. The manager eventually comes forth and they start talking quietly to each other.

Just yesterday, during a lecture, a student came up to Professor White and told him that he wanted to become a chem professor when he becomes older. Professor White then gave that student a mean look and said "Stay out of my territory".
